  • I made more stuff, ignoring that curve for the moment.. I made the arched roof and building on the right: [IMG]http://i42.tinypic.com/2im135s.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://i40.tinypic.com/28btaoj.jpg[/IMG] So this is a sort of monorail station thing, and still needs a lot of work inside, it'll be pretty cramped inside but players should only spend a few moments inside.. I'm pretty impressed with how it's turned out. EDIT: I've now extended the roof to 3 sections, with the extra section overhanging, making space and a place for the monorails support to go..

Hammer just wasn't designed to do curves like that.

Do you just func_detail those curves?

Do you just func_detail those curves?[/QUOTE] The curves are actually not that hard once you start using keyboard shortcuts to align, flip, copy, and manipulate the vertices of brushes. and as far as func detailing goes, this particular map will probably benefit most from manual placement of visleafs between walls to break up the map in the correct places.

They clear the neural pathways of the rubbish and open the mind to new ideas. I guess it's my way of smoking weed or having a pint...different things work for different people, those two songs are what works for me. And deadchicken- welcome back to us...here, have a pet squid...i think i have taught them not to kill now... If they pick up anything heavy or pointed, just run.
