This is exactly the kind of brightness of the moon/shadow that I wanted to have in the map that I've been trying to make. You would be a king to me if you would share the stats of your light_environment.

Also someone told me that you should check your mipmaps. I'm not completely sure what that means (has to do with textures I think), but evidently yours aren't great and need a looking at. Also, personal preference, but I'd lower your sun's ambient a bit. The lighting is decent as is, but it's pretty flat. I'd also make it a tiny bit less purple.

Thanks for the tip about it matching horizon. I'm not very good with fog. (nor am i good with 3dskyboxes). Also regarding mipmaps I'm not sure what that means either.

Would you mind posting the settings? I'm working on a night version of chaparral and can't get the purple like you do.

  • I'm currently working on driveable cars for my TTT map. Each will have 2 seats - one for driver and second for a gunner, who will be able to control a mounted LMG. The car can be damaged by running over Antlions or being shot by others. Enough damage will obliterate the car, leaving behind a few corpses and a charred wreck. Each car will also have a special paint, so it'll be easier to distinguish players.   • If that's an independent lua entity it'd actually make a good replacement for the HL2 jeep. I'm annoyed that the stock vehicles can't be destroyed.
  • I continued detailing this hallway since it felt much empty even though I was going to add more stuff in to it. So I detailed it way more than I wanted too and I would like to say it's like 98% completed (I just need to find or make a certain model I need) It's not much change i guess but it certainly looks good or what do you guys think?
