•
about as entertaining as xkcd.
I have to agree with this, but simply because I find XKCD incredibly amusing at times.

 • Fucking hell, i was gonna upload my project to a beanstalk trial repo, trial repos have a limit of 100 MB. I started uploading my zip and wondered why it was so slow, and realized i had included a few 200 MB of ipch files, download is not really abortable (apparently it screws up if you close window). Zip is 80 MB containing 300 MB of files. And i have to wait for it to complete
 • Damn, didn't make the highlights. Guess I'll just sit and keep working on my Steam IRC Thingy. (Working title)
 •
about as entertaining as xkcd.
Herp. Why do you hate on XKCD so much? It's okay if you don't like it, but stop bringing it up randomly. It's really annoying and makes you look like an idiot.
 •

Holy shit, that was just awesome!

 • Oh my god what, beanstalk needs to imporove their limits, it uploaded whole 300 mb zip even though it should limit me to 100 mb

 • Damnit, was aiming for a minecraft ish music style, for my game. I did not succeed. [editline].[/editline] Updated. :v:
 •
I'd go for 2D and make some shaders or something to get some nice effects going. A decent 2D game is better than a poor 3D one.
Just out of curiosity, how hard do you think it would be to make something like Facewound in XNA?
 •
Damnit, was aiming for a minecraft ish music style, for my game. I did not succeed.
nice brickwall.
 •
nice brickwall.
I know, right. :v: Got carried away.

 • Workin on a custom minecraft server for Brohoster. It's as multithreaded as I can get it, with players having their own logic and networking threads, the server having it's own various threads, most operations being asynchronous, etc. This'll benefit us greatly because all of our servers have 16 cores. •
Missing features, such as the map not being there? :v:
Yeah. :v: I'm mainly working on client/connection management before I get to the map being loaded. It's not that difficult, it's just not as important as the connecting and whatnot.

[img_thumb]http://ahb.me/YAz[/img_thumb]
Ah, the thrill of the first steps of creating a Minecraft server. I've experienced that twice now--once with a Classic server and once with an Alpha server. The Classic server was coded in C++ and supported Lua plugins and gamemodes, with a very similar system to Garry's Mod plugins and gamemodes, including the hooks system. Me and the few people working on it with me decided to drop the project after a few months though due to real-life stuff. It got really far though :(
 • Ours will have lua integration too. :3: Clients will be able to upload their own lua scripts and whatnot, with access to stuff like map manipulation and even creating their own custom entities (There's a packet that allows you to do that)
 •
Ours will have lua integration too. :3:
Good luck. It feels good when it's working :D [editline]19th November 2010[/editline]
creating their own custom entities (There's a packet that allows you to do that)
I know. I've almost memorized the Classic and Alpha protocols inside out. Check out #mcc @ irc.esper.net - that's where all of the MC server devs hang out. It's a party :3:
