  • I wrote a post here but then Facepunch went down before I could submit the post. But in short, it's a shame I stopped with the FP WP7 app, especially because bartool's UI mockups were amazing. But I'd love to help out with either my own or another WP7 project. That is, the codebehind, because I learned that Silverlight/XAML isn't really my thing.

It is extremely important that the design fits the metro design language. I can help you with this and I can also publish, sadly I can not make it a paid App, only free.

  • I don't know how picky MS are, but if they're anything like Apple you might be better off making it a pure webapp to avoid having to do any stylizing.

The current app is pretty functional already. If you throw in the HTML parsing It'd be good enough already. Ratings and posting would be the other two main things lacking at this moment.

  • no, i was waiting for hexxeh to finish up his iOS packaging but with his internship at google he's been too busy. i'll try to get in touch with him about it. if he can't find time to do the iOS version i'll try finding someone else, or at the very least release the Android version on it's own. [editline]6th July 2012[/editline] also if anyone wants to tackle the iframe/pre bugs that'd be v cool

  • in what way ios packaging? like the xcode stuff or is it complete, and just needs to be uploaded to itunes (i have a apple dev account i could use)

  • fpmobile is based on phonegap, so you basically just create a base phonegap app and throw the fpmobile files in there and build the app, throw it on itunes for us to distribute. i think there may be a few iOS specific fixes and things hexxeh had going, but iirc he pushed them anyway so it should work fine.

  • I'd absolutely love a Facepunch App for iOS, I hope you guys get it finished and published on the App Store!

  • updates would need to be repackaged and uploaded, FPMobile doesn't download new versions on it's own, but now that you've mentioned it i'll look into doing that i've been trying to keep the project active among other stuff i have to do, it's usable and i think at the very least, despite the iframe and pre bugs it'll be more than usable for the iOS dudes who dont even have an app, so i'd like to try getting it packaged and released so iOS people don't need to keep waiting. also @crypto the app will be free so if you want to try getting it going add me on steam and let me see that you have a working version and i'll endorse it.

  • This looks promising, I was wandering whether there was an ios facepunch viewer after seeing an android screenshot. I'm very intrested in testing this if you need any ios testers.

  • FWIW I switched to Android last week and so I care less about iOS. But I'll crack out a build for iOS this weekend see if your changes fixed things up. No guarantees Apple will approve it though.

  • I'm no programmer, but if anyone needs graphics to be done I would be willing to help, I'm in need of a project to do so I thought this would be a good place to start

  • I've been too busy with work to have time to do this I'm afraid. Edit: You know what, fuck that, I need a good example of using Facepunch API, let's make this happen.

  • Just trying the Android version of this out now, it's pretty sweet... It's coping really nicely with my shitty 3G connection on CalTrain too.
