Its so sad that COD gets more sales then skyrim, Skyrim took a lot of effort and time and Cod took maybe 3 months to make, and 9 months to hype. Then they get three quarters of a billion dollars, wow.
Well, Skyrim barely received as much advertisement or hype as Modern Warfare 3 did. I hate how they outline bugs in Skyrim in that article though, as if Modern Warfare 3 shipped without any issues itself. I'm just happy Bethesda is managing to catch up to Activision and actually deserve that money for their efforts.
Fucking multimillionaire wank jobs
the BBC really don't like bethesda, do they?

However, that's because people didn't realize it was shit. Hopefully more people are realizing this and the next game will bomb.
I found no bugs in MW3, I have no clue what you're talking about
Well when you take MW2, and add a few maps most of the bugs should already be ironed out.
However, that's because people didn't realize it was shit. Hopefully more people are realizing this and the next game will bomb.
We said that about the last two games, though
This makes me so mad. You have no idea.
EVENTUALLY even these people who buy it every year will get tired of playing the same game over and over. CoD will at some point be forced to innovate the title if they want to stay on top.

Mw3 ia much better than I thought, the singleplayer was awesome finished it in like 5 hours, so much better than bf3 sp by a long shot, survival is amazing really solid gameplay and I played alone so with a friend I surely expect it to be nearly orgasmic. Haven't. Tried MP yet though but by the looks of it it's going to provide me with hundreds of hours of awesome! Also, predictable dumbs from the average facepunchers.. lold at the mw3 took 3 months months to make, way to be a biased twat. Actually BF3 has way more bugs than mw3 haven't gotten any crashes or anything with mw, However I gotten a performance issue with shadows turned on, but it fixed itself somehow. Mw1 and 2 were very solid bug wise though You're all fucking idiots if you judge the game without playing it.
:Hvyweaponsguy: Not big surprise.

The main reason why most people hate it is because it is not adding anything new gameplay wise. Some people say it is just like MW2 by the looks of it, which is not weird. It plays and looks the same. Why waste 60 dollars on this game when you can buy MW2?
Mw3 ia much better than I thought, the singleplayer was awesome finished it in like 5 hours,
This is reason enough not to like it. A 5 hour campaign?
"Call of Duty breaks sales records" "The earth revolves at ~1037mph"
Too bad call of duty is terrible

There's a very, very simple reason why so many people get pissed off when Call of Duty has sales figures like this, though it might just be a matter of perspective. When you get right down to it, I don't think Call of Duty deserves even half the success it gets. That's not to say it's a bad game; I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my share of fun in MW1 and MW2, but there are so many other games out there that clearly have so much more love and effort put into them, that it almost feels like a crime when a game like Modern Warfare 3 breaks every entertainment sales record EVER. What makes this more frustrating is that everyone else in the gaming industry latches onto this and we keep getting more and more "safe bet" Call of Duty clones with little, if any innovation. Do I think Call of Duty is a good series? Yes, I do. But there are dozens of games I can think of that deserve the success more. The acting in Mw3s campaign was paper thin, I did not feel connected to any character at all, and the story was such a let down. It felt like Price was just shouting all the time and not actually doing much else, some missions were very fun though, especially my favourite the airplane mission which was awesome. Not had a chance to play mp as I only borrowed it, I can only assume ( and i'm sure i'm 90% right) that it's the same as before, based on that it'd be fun but not keep my attention for too long, being the pick up and play game it is.
And yet the metacritic score is 1/10. I don't really give a crap about CoD sales and such. I play whatever the hell I want to and the sales aren't stopping me at all. I probably sound apathetic here but I don't want to waste my time complaining. Business is business and as long as it doesn't stop me from playing Half Life, Minecraft and other games I prefer I am mostly cool with it.

Am I the only one hoping that they do eventually break 1 billion with one of their future games? It would be historical for video games as a medium. Though honestly I think they're hitting their peak with this game. I can't see them making any more than they are now on release day.
The butthurt levels in this thread are immense. If someone likes something they'll buy it, get over it. Hell, even Garry bought it.
"please upvote our game on metacritic" *breaks sales record* "Never mind guys we're good"
I'm enjoying MW3 a lot. Most of FP truly does just straight-up bandwagon. The only things I've noticed are a few re-used assets. Other games haven't taken a bunch of crap for that. I also noticed one painfully low quality texture on one map, however in terms of gameplay I've loved every second so far.

Plenty of the animations are unaltered from mw2, the models don't look much different the sounds are even the same on some guns.
