Well at £320 I sure fucking hope it sounds good.
But most of those reviews seem to have avoided making precise measurements of the HomePod's audio output, instead relying on personal experience to give generalized impressions.
doesn't sound like any audiophile I know
Did they elevate the HomePod on acoustic resonance crystals? Insulate the power line from the ambient static waveform?
if you want simple stereo sound they expect you to buy two of these
A reddit audiophile is as authentic as a licensed magician
The speaker he is referencing is a KEF X300A which I've never seen used in the dozens of professional studios I've been in.
doesn't sound like any audiophile I know
I think these are the other audiophiles, the ones that believe that power cords covered in some magical crystal lining shit somehow improves audio quality.

It's all "years to develop" this and "Proprietary" that. Like my dudes, you slapped some salt crystals into some clay and fucking varnished them in place. It's not that deep.

During this time we designed thousands of tweaks and constantly kept improving them. We were excited to share our technology and gave away many free cables and tweaks. Our main business was auctions starting at $1 which eventually resulted in personal bankruptcy.
They don't even have the business sense to scam people properly.
if you want simple stereo sound they expect you to buy two of these
The best part? this doesn't even work yet lmao
For now, I'd say the HomePod is certainly impressive given its natural restrictions, but I wouldn't call it an audiophile dream machine. The fact that it can't yet do stereo pairing with another HomePod doesn't help. Consumer Reports says it has had similar results, though its testers found the Sonos One to be better, and I generally disagree with that conclusion.
Here, HS5's are on offer. You can buy TWO for the price of one of these Apple balls. https://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/Yamaha-HS5-Active-Studio-Monitors-Pair-with-Stands/UD6 With stands. I'm not an audiophile but you have my guarantee that a pair of these will sound better than 10 Apple Balls.

Because like, I can't fathom being this stupid about something I claimed to be any kind of "phile"/enthusiast about.
yes, they're insanely dumb. they pay tens of thousands for snake oil without realizing that the human body can't take those frequencies. Also what kind of dipshit suspends their cables from the ground.

Well this thread was certainly a treat lol. I didn't know those products existed
Look I try to give Apple a fair chance whenever I can, but HomePods are stupid as shit. $350 for a speaker that can't even do proper stereo sound on its own? Integration with Siri, the worst voice assistant for anything beyond setting timers and alarms? No thanks, I'll stick with my $30 Echo and my $50 Bluetooth speaker.

can i listen to vapor wave at 1080p?
They're now known as AudiophileRocks. They sell fucking rocks. http://audiophile.rocks/index.html
This is what they claim their rocks do... One of them rocks apparently has the ability to apply an reverb effect to a singular synth in that song. WHAT
I love how they call their rocks "tweaks". Audiophiles must be some of the dumbest people ever. Anyone remember that company that sold a ten thousand dollar Ethernet cable for audiophiles? the radical audiophiles are a bane to the music community

So long as the bit rate is high enough, there literally CANNOT be a difference between this cable and a cheap ass best buy equivalent. This is information which is really available on the internet. Information that they teach in academic classes... How do people manage to somehow go out of their way to believe absolute bullshit?
Remember when it was spread as a joke that the Sony Playstation 1 was one of the best cd players on the market? It was all fun and games until audiophiles started paying literal thousands for them and then we started seeing these: It was literally created as a joke and people are still actively buying and modding the shit out of them for thousands because they were told they were 'an audiophiles dream'
fuck the audiophiles subreddit, i went on there cause of this news article and i left with a new audio system on the way from amazon about an hour later
