EA's old IP revivals undaunted by Syndicate disappointment

Mech games are in. Get it done.
Future Cop would be the most awesome thing ever. But I guess they would fuck that up easily, too.
When I was young I played the shit out of it because it was so awesome (even with a friend)
Syndicate was genuinely awful.
Once you can see past the bloom and shit they blind you with, the gameplay was mediocre and the story was completely shitty.
Which is pretty shitty since that setting would make for a cool bladerunner-esque story if done right.
The game was a pretty fun mindless action fest albeit a short one but definitely not worth $60.
I had fun with Syndicate. It's not near as good as it could have been (not by a long shot) but it was a pretty fun little game.
I'd like them to bring back the strike series, those are fun games on the mega drive. Bring back the theme song as well
Desert strike with frostbite engine
Everyone always complains about EA's DRM but I'm seemingly never affected by it.

people don't usually complain about ea's drm, its usually blizzard or ubisoft that takes the prize there

almost all the time I see "wow origin exclusive fuck that im not buying it even though its a decent game"
Really makes me wonder how brainwashed the PC market is.
Quick, go find an old series and make it into a first person shooter. Those are always great, right guys?
This is Syndicate, the shit they recently splurged out was not, it just happened to have the same name.
I thought Syndicate was quite decent game, if you just ignore the story and pretend that it's not called "Syndicate".
Some weapons were quite original and hacking powers gave a nice diversity. Especially with more complex enemies where you had to combine them and groups of enemies where you had to manage your powers to affect as many enemies as possible while your adrenaline haven't drained up.
Just make Mirror's Edge 2 and then we can talk.
OK seriously anyone who complains that the new Syndicate is a "mindless shooter" has clearly never played the original because the original IS a MINDLESS SHOOTER.
The perspective is different, yeah, and you control 4 characters rather than 1, but it's still a shooter through and through. Honestly people just complain about it being revived as an FPS because it's the popular thing to do.
A 4-player co-op FPS revival of Syndicate could be absolutely FANTASTIC if they incorporated little touches like brainwashing civilians from the first Syndicate. The recent revival was not that great, I admit, but not because it was an FPS. It was just uninspired.
