Interesting. Hope it's good! I wonder what Frictional is doing in the meantime?
This sounds like it'll be awesome. As I said in the thread in GGD, I've been looking forward to something new from Frictional, and I think this will definitely deliver.
I've already bought 3 new pairs of pants in preparation.
I can see this being scary as shit. Looking forward to hearing more. Something about pigs being in the title of an Amnesia game is creepy...
Another game to buy and never play past the "tutorial". Hurrah!
why the Dear Esther people? They can create environments, but wasn't Briscoe simply on contract to them?
Fuck yes, steampunk horror.
Dear Esther already scared me even tho nothing of interesting was happening and i think they where not even really building towards a horror game in Dear Eshter
Oh man this is going to be so awesome
why the Dear Esther people? They can create environments, but wasn't Briscoe simply on contract to them?
Apparently they were misquoted. It's being co-developed by Thechineseroom, with Frictional also developing, and publishing it.
I am kind of on the fence about thechineseroom co-developing this.
Korsakovia, their big horror foray, was a pretty spectacular P.O.S. IMO with awful level design, but on the other hand the horror elements that didn't consist of "random spikes of headphone destroying white noise" were p. decent.

good. I wouldn't trust thechineseroom alone, since it looks like they almost relied on the briscoe guy.

Robert Briscoe was the one who approached them about making Dear Esther remake, I don't really know how they were involved with the development, but I wouldn't imagine it being much.
They have some interesting ideas, but rather poorly executed in the two mods they actually produced all by themselves, but with Frictional in on it, it might be good.
I'm too much of a pussy to play them scary games :(
I can already tell what this one's plot is going to roughly be. Since all the Amnesia plots have had to do with the characters' minds as of yet I'm p. confident in guessing that because he was explicitly described as a industrialist/capitalist, as well as the fact that it's called "A Machine For Pigs", which sounds like a double entrendre, with the "machine" part possibly meaning a factory machine of some kind, and the "pigs" part referring to "capitalist pigs" etc.
I'm guessing that he did some bad things and it's coming back to haunt him, with the "machine" being the device to get all this happening.
I'm still under the impression that the "pigs" are going to be long, going back to the Vitae Factory theory.
I should finish Amnesia. I just fear what might come...
I played Amnesia till some part in the Prison blocks, i streamed it and i kinda chicken'd out :v:
Promise that i will complete Amnesia AMFP this time heh

Prison is the worst part, and another part I've forgotten that's later on.
Prison is the worst part, and another part I've forgotten that's later on.
Well, you have the choir, which you could barely see a few meters in front of your face. Of course, that probably was because of my monitor.
I'm going to play through Amnesia: Justine now!
I hope it will have support for modding again, since I have spent over 30 hours by playing custom stories in The Dark Descent
Really hoping there's more mindfuck to it like there's in The Attic pt 2 and other mods

Damn it, the bogeyman got me in the water part.
