I wonder if Bioware/EA only did this to get everyone's money, because I remember Bioware saying it was only going to be for the N7 edition.
last decent manual I had was Command and Conquer 3. now there is either nothing at all, or just little pamphlets saying the controls/advertising other games by that developer
I remember being surprised when Battlefield 3 didn't come with a manual on any platform. Colour manuals are the best.
Save the Earth!
Now it's like: WARRANTY CONTROLS TOS
Or do a valve, who needs manuals, single slice of paper. (That actually kinda disappointed me back in 05 when I opened up my physical copy of HL2).
Like day 1 DLC that should be in the game already
I'm curious as to how many people bitch about Day 1 DLC without realizing WHY it is Day 1 DLC.

It's stuff that was made for the game, then scrapped away for the sole purpose of selling it for more money or to force you to pay full price.

They might think AW FUCK THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THERE THAT'S AWESOME and they make it. However, you cannot modify something that is going through approval nor modify it after approval without going through the process again, so they include it as DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT that comes with the game. Day 1 DLC generally comes with the game anyways so stop fucking bitching and buy the game new, not used.

And sorry but paying 70 euros (yes, games are fucking 70 euros on console EACH in France, 60 on PC) every game I'd like to play is going to be slightly hurting my wallet. 70 euros is an infuriating price no matter the quality of the game, and instead of going the steam way (aka the logical fucking way) and lowering prices so more people buy the game new, they put on some sort of shitty ass online pass that blocks a part of the content that should be here FOR FREE and force you to buy the game new if you want everything in it. Online passes shouldn't exist or more exactly shouldn't exist in their current form. The whole idea of developing content, then scrapping it out of the game and basically force the players willing to play the full game to buy it new no matter what is nothing more than blackmailing that sometimes reach tremendous levels of stupidity - you lose an entire portion of the game if you don't get an online pass for Arkham City, which is a SINGLEPLAYER GAME (and I doubt they developed the entire Catwoman part of the game just after the game was finished and ready to be shipped, because you know, they showed her off quite early in the development of the game THEN made it an online pass only character). The correct way to make online passes would be to lower the price (for example at around 50 euros instead of those mind-buggling 70 coins I have to shit everytime) and use the online pass to actually give minor advantages to the customers willing to pay full price, such as additional skins and access to future DLCs for free, instead of having to pay something for it, which would be logical as you already paid more than people buying the used game, and that's still assuming future DLCs will not be also ridiculously high priced and will stay at a reasonable one.
I used to read through every manual whenever I got a game, whether through buying or renting. I always liked those small stories/summaries at the beginning that tell you a short backstory of what's been happening in the game universe. I think my favorite one was for the original Guild Wars. It had like an 100 page manual. Good times.
I still have that. I still flip through it sometimes even though I don't play anymore
I believe the day 1 DLC files existed in the leaked demo, in June.
The current demo also has files for him. EDIT: Okay, if you disagree, where did the voice files come from? If you explore the files, [sp]Voice files for him as a squadmate are present.[/sp] So yeah, they're in the game. At least with the Shadow Broker files in Mass Effect 2, the files left in were part of a cut chunk of the game that they didn't have time to complete, and used the feedback from fans to create a much better section far after release. (LOTSB is possibly the best DLC I've ever played period.)
I liked GTA's manuals, made me feel like a tourist.

Was amazing.
