However, LEDs are not usually cheap.
Lies.
LED's and fluorescant bulbs suck shit through ten bricks because neither of them can throw off the kind of warm light that incandescant bulbs did. I hate the pure white light of fluorescants.
This will ruin the light bulb companies everywhere. If you make a light bulb that last forever, nobody is going to buy a new one.
All three bulbs are meant to last more than 20 years, if used about three hours per day.
So they will last about 6 years under normal usage.
This will ruin the light bulb companies everywhere. If you make a light bulb that last forever, nobody is going to buy a new one.
Sort of like how cheap flashlights don't exist anymore at all because of shake-recharge flashlights.
This will ruin the light bulb companies everywhere. If you make a light bulb that last forever, nobody is going to buy a new one.
Like that time I bankrupted the energy companies by turning a light on in a room full of mirrors

You can put it side-by-side with a incandescent and not be able to tell the difference in light.

I find the warm glow depressing. Having super-bright lighting in my main rooms really cheers me up.
I find the warm glow depressing. Having super-bright lighting in my main rooms really cheers me up.
ehh, it's relaxing to have it warm. Super-bright only works in a bathroom/kitchen where you REALLY need to see everything. but that's just me.
I find the warm glow depressing. Having super-bright lighting in my main rooms really cheers me up.
oh god what the fuck i hate it, how do you sleep at night?? Do you like the feeling of it being mid day, all day?
oh god what the fuck i hate it, how do you sleep at night??
I'd imagine with the lights off.
LED's and fluorescant bulbs suck shit through ten bricks because neither of them can throw off the kind of warm light that incandescant bulbs did. I hate the pure white light of fluorescants.
Yeah but the old incandescent bulbs weren't very efficient.
My physics teacher a while ago told us that we actually see better under yellow light,. The details were quite amusing but I forgot all of that :v: I prefer white lights though.
oh god what the fuck i hate it, how do you sleep at night?? Do you like the feeling of it being mid day, all day?
Apart from, as pointed out, turn my lights off, I also use a program called F.lux to warm the colours of my monitor at night. I sleep incredibly well.

I use flux too, i can hardly keep standard yellow lighting on around the house other than just dim lamps and such. Nevermind one that mimics straight up daylight.
Like that time I bankrupted the energy companies by turning a light on in a room full of mirrors
Isn't that, like, piracy? STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM. [editline]heh[/editline] Copylight infringement. (User was banned for this post ("Meme" - verynicelady))
My physics teacher a while ago told us that we actually see better under yellow light,. I need to use my phone's flashlight to see the back of my teeth.
I'm not going to lie, they look high tec as shit.
I'm not going to lie, they look high tec as shit.
The nice thing about LED bulbs is that they require cooling. LED's do NOT like high heat. This means that LED bulbs usually require metal housing - which means they are built like tanks. The electronics inside can still die though.
Haha lightbulbs, only pussys use lightbulbs.
Haha lightbulbs, only pussys use lightbulbs.
Was this post supposed to be funny? If so then I'm not seeing it.
Haha lightbulbs, only pussys use lightbulbs.
Candles, nigger. (User was banned for this post ("Using the word Nigger." - Craptasket))
LED bulbs come in the same variety as florescents, if you want warm get "warm" or 2700K bulbs. 2700K is the same as an incandescent.
funtionality over profit should be the goal of companys, imagine how advanced we could be if companys would work for better technologys and not profit
I wouldn't mind securing these to the front-side of my house...
This will ruin the light bulb companies everywhere. If you make a light bulb that last forever, nobody is going to buy a new one.
Since there are over 7 billion people on the planet I don't think they need to worry about getting buyers.
funtionality over profit should be the goal of companys, imagine how advanced we could be if companys would work for better technologys and not profit
Yeah but it's up there with "imagine if they stopped the deforestation of the rainforests" and "imagine if they stopped killing endangered animals"
