Cue the few people going "Rocksteady are idiots it would totally work and be cool if they did it right"
Rocksteady are idiots it would totally work and be cool if they did it right
They should have added a leveling system and weapon unlocks and Arkham City: Elite so I can get all the DLC for 59.99
Interesting that they experimented with it, but I just can't see a way of maintaining that Batman feel. I don't even know how it'd play out either. Glad that they managed to avoid multiplayer though. Arkham City is easily a contender for one of the best games I've ever played.
guards VS prisoners, melee only
For a while I thought Gotham City Imposters was gonna be part of this until I actually bought it v:v:v. I'm glad they didn't go ahead with including multiplayer in the end, it probably made all the difference with how the game came out.
Cue the few people going "Rocksteady are idiots it would totally work and be cool if they did it right"
"it would totally work and be cool if they did it right" Coop would work amazing well, and be extremely fun, if they did it right. Not that theyre idiots for refusing to water down the game experience, i support them for that. Batman has always been about an amazing, focused experience, and i wouldn't want it to change
Co-op on the challenge maps would work perfectly.
AC didn't need multiplayer, the game is perfect as it is, and I do mean perfect
There better be multiplayer in the rumored Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.
AC didn't need multiplayer, the game is perfect as it is, and I do mean perfect
AC multiplayer is good though. It was one of the USPs of Brotherhood.
AC didn't need multiplayer, the game is perfect as it is, and I do mean perfect
It needed new features because UbiSoft wants to stretch out the franchise (like so often). ACR had to bloat the game as well and pull a lot of stunts to still be appealing although nothing really happens. Same with ACB. I actually wouldn't mind them stretching out the series if they did brand new eras each game, but I imagine recycling props cuts development cycles and costs too much to not do it. But I would be very interested in a Templar perspective that justifies their actions and vilifies the assassins. Shouldn't be too hard to do, would be interesting and refreshing, and would make sense in-universe since the assassins aren't the only ones looking for pieces of eden. It could also reveal parts of the backstory the assassins, due to their limited resources, cannot know about. But I guess the beloved support-the-underdog trope is too strong to drop.
Didnt know that it was that close, that Arkham City would have gotten game - Uwe Boll´ed. :suicide:
Co-op on the challenge maps would work perfectly.
This is what i was thinking, I don't see why not. I mean it makes challenge maps a ton more fun and you don't need to play it.
Should have added Robin, Bat Woman and 3-player coop.
Didnt know that it was that close, that Arkham City would have gotten game - Uwe Boll´ed. :suicide:
Had a shitty movie made based on it to the dissapointment of fans and movie goers, further proving that uwe boll cant direct a good movie game if his his mother fucking life depended on it? [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] My idea for multiplayer: All the main characters playable, with there own fighting styles and such, in predator based and combat based missions and shit. The Bats vs. The Rouges.
Co-op on the challenge maps would work perfectly.
There would be far too few enemies to fight if there were two people at once. Not to mention that the the maps themselves are fairly small. Now the predator challenge maps on the other hand would be great. [editline]9th February 2012[/editline]
Should have added Robin, Bat Woman and 3-player coop.
They would have to do a flashback from about 5-10 years before Arkham City since Batgirl presumably had her spine shot by the Joker if they followed the Killing Joke since she is in a wheelchair. That would still work though because they would be able to use Dick Grayson as Robin rather than Tim Drake who is the Robin in Arkham City.
BTW, theres been like...5 batgirls and 6 robins.
3 batgirls and two robins. But ok.
3 batgirls and two robins. But ok.
Robins: Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Carrie Kelly (TDKR), Stephanie Brown. Batgirls: Barbara Gordon, Betty Kane, Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Huntress. Depends on how you take battle for the cowl and the one thing with a 3 ghosts type thing into consideration.
BTW, theres been like...5 batgirls and 6 robins.
I know but I was referring to the game itself. So far there is only Dick Grayson and Tim Drake. Damian Wayne most likely does not exist due to Talia's death but she may have gave birth to him some time after her and Batman's "night in Metropolis". That leaves Jason Todd but there is no mention of him at all so far. As for the Batgirl's, there may be more but I would think that if there was another Batgirl she would have probably shown up to help just as Robin did.

Batman comics are wierd shit, seriously. Also, they DID mention Jason Todd, here you go: [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] Also, they did mention huntress too: [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] Besides, lazarus pits yo.

Are the other six from Batman Inc? I have not read or heard much about that as of yet except for Batwing so that's why I am asking.

As for that quote I can't believe that I did not link it to Jason Todd. I just recently bought the challenge map pack and heard that quote and thought that he was just cracking a joke but that makes sense now. I am assuming that the Red Hood may be in the next Batman game then. Oh and when it comes to the Huntress I am surprised that she did not make an appearance in Arkham City since according to the wiki(I do not know much about her) in no man's land (which is extremely similar to the events in Arkham City) she becomes Batgirl rather than just a plain old vigilante. So maybe she will make an appearance in the next game.
They could have done it Chronicles of Riddick style, have everyone be prisoners, and 1 be the Batman, if Batman defeats all, he wins, if prisoners defeat Batman, the prisoner who killed batman would become the next rounds Batman..

I had no idea that Tim Drake or Jason Todd ever took up the mantle. Oh and Bat-Bane is probably the strangest thing I have seen come from Batman in a while. I also agree that Jean Paul Valley's suit is ridiculously cool.

AKA went back in time cause of darkseid. Also, jason suit: Tim used the 70's suit.
