• Racist Judge Disenfranchises Minorities

After blacks, Hispanics, and Asians overwhelming supported a California constitutional amendment during the 2008 election, a white federal judge has thrown out the amendment, siding with "his people", as whites were the only ethnic group to vote against the proposition. I really thought we were getting past this in the US. This is evidence that a black President is merely window dressing, when blatant racism can go unquestioned at the level of the federal courts. When a white judge can throw out the votes of all other ethnic groups in order to side with his fellow whites, it is painfully clear we have not come as far as we like to think. Prop 8, the amendment to ban gay marriage, got support in the 70-80% range from all ethnic groups but whites, and a gay (seriously) white judge - ONE MAN - has re-instituted Jim Crow and poll taxes all with one decision. Yeah, this happened a week ago.
I would side with the minorities on this one, if it wasn't for the fact that they voted for an amendment that BANS gay marriage. The judge did the right thing IMO.
He did nothing wrong. Our legal system is functioning as intended. Cry more, homophobes.

Tell that to the minorities whose vote he threw out for no reason other than the fact that he likes gays but doesn't like hispanics and asians. Lets see, support the right for gay people to get married, which is just so high on the list of things that matter. Or support the people whose political voice was silenced by the actions of a racist judge. Easy choice for me. [editline]11:40AM[/editline]
Are you an idiot?
You're about as witty as you are original. Just please, grow the fuck up and get off the internet, learn the definition of racism too, actually, don't even try. That might be a bit over your head.

Yes okay, we've established that he's an idiot. Now let's let him prove how idiotic he is by trying to explain how this isn't just another pathetic attempt to pull the race card in a situation that has nothing to do with race at all.

You are incapable of independent thought, and the shallowness of your knowledge and understanding of politics, or anything for that matter, is reflected in your inability to argue your position.

The "idiot" majority is against gay marriage and this "incapable of independent thought" thing is caused by religion tell you what to think.
Hey genius, I'm not religious. I'm not anti-gay(homophobe) either, I'm just anti stupidity.
You are a homophobe who is pro-stupidity.
Fulfilling your duties as the judiciary branch of government is now racist?
Fulfilling your duties as the judiciary branch of government is now racist?
He fulfilled his duty as a bigot and should be fired for NOT fulfilling his duty as a judge. The decision was wrong, but of course everyone is supporting him simply because his decision yielded a favorable outcome for them. I then asked one of his supporters if he'd still side with the judge if he had shot down a pro-gay legislation and gotten no response.
What if the vote he overturned was pro-gay marriage? Then what, idiot?
Well duh. It would have been unconstitutional not to get rid of Proposition 8, so the judge made the right decision no matter who voted for it.
Fulfilling your duties as the judiciary branch of government is now racist?
You look surprised. Also.
how do you know it was because he's racist you know, maybe because its unconstitutional to deny marriage to someone because "there gai lol"

oh wait i'm a bandwagoner so my opinion is invalid sorry sir fff automerge
Doing the right thing today makes you racist? Silly.
Well duh. It would have been unconstitutional not to get rid of Proposition 8, so the judge made the right decision no matter who voted for it.
I'm talking about a hypothetical situation.
