Why Do People Type Like This?
Because You Write Titles Like This Usually
hey at least it's free if you have a 'CoD Elite' subscription which is also pretty much throwing money out the window, so there's no real difference
Elite = Recurring fee to keep maps DLC = Buy once, keep
Meh, I'd buy it if it was like 5 euros or less.
Meh, I'd buy it if it was like 5 euros or less.
During the steam sale. Spending money on something not on sale. Spending 5 euro on DLC that is not on steam sale. I'm having a hard time finding sense to your logic.
Maybe it's just me but posts like this seem really out of place in the news section. We've got threads about the tax cut debate, the presidential race, and other insightful scientific or current event pieces, and then we get a 'news' post that's just a link to ign about a game releasing maps. This doesn't seem newsworthy at all to me, people who play CoD may or may not be excited, if they aren't, they won't buy it. I don't know why people get so up in arms when they release this stuff. If you're offended by it, don't buy it. Clearly there are people who enjoy it and want to buy it, and that's their right. Why get so pissy about their right to buy something they want?
The problem with map packs like this, though, is that, if you don't buy [all of] the map pack[s], you won't be able to play a large portion of the game, as you will get kicked out of matches (whether automatically or by players) and be unable to select certain modes that you previously could. This was a really annoying issue in the Halo games too.
They should add Dinosaur Mode in this DLC. To spite BF3.
I'm afraid they would tacticlol the shit out of this.

Although Halo's map packs were more expensive per map ($10 for 3 maps rather than $15 for 5), they were good because of what you could do with them in Forge mode. Foundry never got boring.
Maybe you should read what you're posting.
" variety of things that players have never seen before." Aka things from MW1/2.

I kept thinking about getting MW3 just to see how the story ends. What they've done with the multiplayer keeps me disinterested. Best solution: I watched the whole campaign on YouTube. All 5 hours of it.
i don't see myself buying the new map packs. besides the fact that mw3 is my least liked cod the only time i ended up buying a map pack was the first one in blops and i ended up hating hit /deleting it.
Not early enough would not buy
Elite = Recurring fee to keep maps DLC = Buy once, keep
Elite gives the new maps for free, if your membership runs out you keep them.
Elite gives the new maps for free, if your membership runs out you keep them.
Watch how they'll put some sort of minimum join time to get maps.
Is it seriously 3 old maps? It's impossible to say that these games aren't recycled and mean it. It's just impossible.
They did this with modern warfare 2 also. They would come out with map packs with old maps from call of duty 4 and like 2 new maps.
Let me guess, its the maps that are already in our files, three of the 5 anyway. Crash, Crossfire, Highrise, Overgrowth and Strike Im only going to pay for elite when all the maps are out... but even then, can i really be arsed with MW3 in the future?
Watch how they'll put some sort of minimum join time to get maps.
they wont
Even treyach had decent DLC's that I was going to buy but had no money because of activsions fucking unfair prices.
they wont
who says they definitely will or wont? I'm just making predictions based on their greed.
"unfair prices" lmao bf3 dlc is 15usd yet you don't complain about that even though everything is recycled but yet you act like it's all brand new content because it's a new game
