It's a new species of wasp found last year by entomologist Lynn Kimsey, a professor at the University of California at Davis. This week, Kimsey formally published her findings on the bug, dubbed "the Komodo dragon of wasps" because of its tremendous size and ferocious appearance. Discovered in the Mekongga Mountains on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the wasp is 2 1/2 inches long and greater than three times the size of an average wasp. Its jaws are so big that when its mouth is open, its jaws are bigger than its legs. Kimsey admitted she's surprised it can even walk with those kinds of proportions. Kimsey has named the monstrous insect "Garuda," the national symbol of Indonesia that is part human, part eagle, and known as the "king of birds." This new species of "digger wasp" is known for how the female paralyzes other insects, buries them, and then lays eggs on top of them, providing food for their offspring. It's starting to look like a real "Bug's World."
fuck you mother nature
I didn't plan on going outside anyways.
What a time to run out of flamethrower fuel.

How does it take a country till 2012 to discover a gargantuan shit-kicking wasp
How does it take a country till 2012 to discover a gargantuan shit-kicking wasp
my theory is that until now, it ate and murdered every human being that discovered them perhaps this was a lone wasp also, new pic: FUCK THAT SHIT
Jesus fuck that looks painful. Wasps are such dicks. They'll sit outside my truck window after I park, and just fly at the window, waiting for me to get out.
Fucking wasps.
Only one thing left to do I guess. Nuke Indonesia.
I hope they don't africanize these (or indonesian-ize regular wasps) and then they escape
I didn't plan on going outside anyways.
Oh, you don't have to go outside. They have nests by your feet under the desk you're sitting at.
Great. Something to re-fuel my phobia of wasps. Seriously, I can't mow my own fucking lawn without a few of them deciding to fly at me and then fly off.

Eh, The bugs here get really big. This isn't too scary (although I really do hate wasps, but hornets are worse)
