Got a friend in Denmark, also has only Notify Me button.
Gmail has also been bumped up to 10 GB of storage No idea why they've given Gmail twice as much space as this
Email is a safer bet for over'selling'
Uploading with the Android app, you can't choose which folder to put. I might go back to Dropbox and wait for this to get better.

GMail's storage space has increased overtime, hell it's increasing right now (by the bits)
"Your Google Drive is not ready".
Is it just me or is Google just doing random new stuff just to compete with others, but not really making them special? Examples: Google+ Google Drive [editline]24th April 2012[/editline] I guess all their services started like that though...

Google+ is incredible, the only problem is Facebook is too entrenched.
None of my friends use google+
Probably US only.
Well this is ass. I'm in the US and it still says its not ready. I'm going to assume it will be ready in six months, just like my Google Voice number.
oh my god I swear I'm having déjà vu
Nevermind its ready now, it just took a few hours.
[img_thumb]http://puu.sh/rjNI[/img_thumb] Getting this when I visit the site...been checking back for several hours. Anybody else had this?
Are there file size limits?
Are there file size limits?
1 GB per file. For my needs that's fine. Anything larger I would split using Winrar anyway.
Holy shit! 799$ a month for 16TB.
Useful for big business I guess.
It's good, but it just doesn't stand out in the market over Facebook. Drive is good (and still new), but doesn't stand out over Dropbox (yet) [editline]24th April 2012[/editline] Talking about Google+. Should've checked the pages before posting.
Drive works well in terms of the online front, however at the moment there's no desktop control, such as being able to grab a link instantly like Dropbox can from within windows itself.

However, who's to say I can't use Dropbox and Google Drive at the same time. Ohoho compromise!
Yeah, that's the part I don't like. However, who's to say I can't use Dropbox and Google Drive at the same time. Ohoho compromise!
Oh I'll still use Dropbox for the time being, it's just a feature I'd like to see. Though I'll probably see how drive works in terms of collaboration.
Oh I just got the e-mail from Google. Says my Google Drive is now available. Took about 3 hours since I clicked Notify Me.

You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. In short, what belongs to you stays yours.
The quoted part is necessary for other google service I believe, and does not apply to drive.
I'm happy to think that Google is one of the few companies interested in actually moving forward instead of stagnantly ripping off and draining their customers with outdated products.
I'm not sure, but it seems that when you upload a screenshot and then go ahead and view it online in Google Drive, even though it's .png the quality seems of a JPG. And if you try to save it, it'll pop up to save as jpg instead of png. Wat Edit: I think I know why. For some reason it resizes my screenshots from 1680x1050 to 1600x1000 wtf
Why don't these companies ever make a Windows Phone App? I understand it's a tiny market share in comparison but it does exist, and ultimately it's stopping me from using their products.
Can you even hotlink pictures from Google Drive? And then like post them on forums, like Facepunch.

Data streaming would be cool with Google Drive.
