And Obama is the reason they look at us Laughing. Point?
No, Guantanamo Bay is where we hold terrorists and suspected terrorists. Now, let me give you lists of atrocities: The Holocaust Stalin's purges 9/11 Pearl Harbor The Hindenburg The Titanic The sinking of the Lusitania The recent earthquake in Haiti The recent earthquake in Chile. See, these cause massive harm and death on the people of either a concentrated area or of a large area, as all of those I have listed are in some way in those two groupings. Now, please tell me how Guantanamo Bay is an atrocity, other then torture which even then is not that extreme.
Yes, that's exactly what's being done there. You/they (whatever you prefer) hold terrorists and suspected terrorists there. Emphasis on hold. Nothing else. You seem to have left out Nagasaki and Hiroshima though for some reason... Oh well, probably nothing important anyways Also, what would be that extreme torture? The kind that shouldn't be tolerated by your opinion?
And Obama is the reason they look at us Laughing. Point?
Are you on the wrong planet? Whether you like Obama's policies is one thing, but his election was met with widespread approval in countries all over the world.
You realize most of the people in Guantanamo Bay are enemy combatants, as in most were captured outside the US fighting against us, therefore exempting them of our basic US rights as they are NOT citizens of this country
lol your enclave avatar perfectly fits you also, if they were caught flghting us, there is witnesses, like the soldiers correct? Why not put them on trial if we have evidence? Why keep them in Gitmo? A taxi driver was sent to gitmo because he unknowingly drove an Al-Queda suspect.
And Obama is the reason they look at us Laughing. Point?
ahahahahaha you're talking out of your ass, there was a compilation of international polls, and pretty much the majority of every polled country supported Obama in the election.
Are you on the wrong planet? Whether you like Obama's policies is one thing, but his election was met with widespread approval in countries all over the world.
can you just ban glaber already? He absolutely refuses to attempt to understand anything. he's never not talking out of his ass and it's not funny anymore
If this was SA I probably could
People need to stop bitching about him, hes only been in office for a year, and people expect him to fix everything up that took years to get this way, get use to it, where in this shit for a good 3-4 years, i don't care whos in office. I do support obama, but im tired of people bitching about someone because hes not meeting their super human expectations, this applies to democrats and republicans.
Because if you don't deserve them, you don't deserve them. If you're a hard working, productive member of society, you definitely %100 deserve it as you have earned it, you are exhibiting the essence of "human rights" as they are only human rights when you act like a normal human being.
"Human rights" means you deserve them by virtue of being a human you dummy. If you're a human, then you deserve human rights. I understand that you oppose human rights, but at least be honest about it
If this was SA I probably could
Isn't there a rule against just copying and pasting articles into the news section without commenting on them because if so he's broken that rule non-stop
sigma has a right, if you are "human" you can be a asshole who just blew up a full airliner of babies, and you still are entitle to humans rights according to the idea. but what bush did, was change the rules, he made it "all non uniformed soldiers, insurgences, terrorist, do not fall under the Geneva convention, and the constitutional rights and human rights do not apply" Basically we consider the detainees sub human, so they have no rights, that is the logic that gitmo applies too right now. which is wrong in my opinion.

Obama's tried to be diplomatic about things and not just strongarm his way around government because there's a democratic majority. Both sides have been quite uncooperative, though. There was something a few days ago where he said that he's about ready to start busting some heads if things don't start getting done. I think that's when we're going to start seeing a lot of things change.
I mix up Adams and Washington, they were the first two presidents and that area in history is a bit fuzzy to me, but my example still stands true that even the founding fathers were using their powers for what was considered a human rights violation now.
They also had slaves. They're not gods or role models. Also I'd prefer deportment to imprisonment and torture.
because i wanna do the right thing i want to live my life feeling as if i contributed to the welfare of humanity not the opposite if you wanna get a hard-on from authoritarian bending of the rules then be my guest but don't you fucking question our motives argue something besides the appeal on emotion
Your grammar is horrific.
I only see one grammatical mistake in that whole post Maybe you just suck at English
This just in guys the only way to protect America is to violate our most basic principals. Everyone deserves them. [editline]05:15PM[/editline] You don't earn rights, they are a given. [editline]05:16PM[/editline] What is this communist fucking russia? You don't have to contribute shit to have rights. They're goddamn rights, goddamnit. [editline]05:17PM[/editline] Find me the portion of the United States Constitution that says "You only have rights if we like you."

What I would define as torture would be using fire, electricity, any type of severe beating involving a group, anything that would cause extreme physical pain like that. Only interrogation method's I do condone are sleep deprivation and water boarding, nothing else.

Especially waterboarding. Fuck, I'd admit to killing JFK, John Lennon and bloody princess Diana if they would stop torturing me.

You don't even believe in rights.
People like purvisdavid1 are the main reason why most of the world hates USA.
Your grammar is horrific.
Why do you say such a thing, my good sir. Grammar, being the set of logical and structural rules in the English language, is free for me to use at my own discretion.
They are not part of our country, they are not our citizens, they deserve no rights here. Obama isn't supposed to be a pretty face either I'd rather have an efficient successful constant swearing rude President who doesn't care about his image than have an unsuccessful charismatic one.
