We already knew all this. Rock Paper Shotgun is one of the worst gaming blogs, why do they post here?
It will have guns.
Yay, info
I really, really hope they don't dumb it down because of consoles. It really is a solid game for PC, but they're going where the money is. Keying in more survival elements will be nice, though the no faction wars between Monolith, Mercs, Freedom and Duty.. Well, it'll be nice to have some peace in the zone, but they'll have to make up for that LARGELY with mutant details running rampant, or perhaps a faction crosses another and it just makes for a huge story. I do look forward to it, although I do not look forward to my computer not being able to run it lol.
i'm going to be spraying man goo all over the place when this comes out

I want even biggar maps hell, make a 1:1 replica of the real zone
I really hope this one actually is optimised on release.
I want even biggar maps hell, make a 1:1 replica of the real zone
Freeroam fallout 3 style on a replica of the real zone would be amazing.
I want even biggar maps hell, make a 1:1 replica of the real zone
It wouldn't be that hard actually. I didn't read the article but I remember that Stalker 2 was going to run on the latest Cry Engine and I'm pretty sure that the Cryengine can handle maps that are at least 10 square kilometers. So the devs would probably just need to make four maps to make a realistic 1:1 zone. You'd just be walking for a really long time to get from one end to the other though :v:

Would like a fast way to travel. I know they have mods for that but the time I played it the first one it was vannila
Yeah, vehicles could be a good thing this time around. Not very common, but just having them there would be nice.
There will be no faction wars in the sequel
Get out of here stalker 2
No faction wars? That's what made the first game. All the faction missions. Sure story played a big part of it, but the faction wars is what made stalker. Hell the story was mainly based off of the war.
I hope this game is polished, I stopped playing the last one because it was hard as shit to figure out anything
My favorite thing about stalker was the feeling that you had to do everything you could to survive, but further on through the game this immersion seemed to fade a bit and it became more of just a first person shooter.

I always liked not being the centre of the world. Finding the guy you're supposed to be meeting with dead, a hundred yards away from where he was meant to be, after being killed by wild beasts and dragged back to their nest, was truly immersive.

The whole zone turned into a war zone instead of a wasteland where you were almost on your own the entire time.
Next stalker isn't running on CryEngine that was a dumb rumor. They've got their own in-house engine thats multiplatform.
no factions wars doesn't mean any faction skirmishes or no factions at-all people damn. It's just not going to have factions roaming the map taking points and generally leaving 100's of dead bodies around after them.
Please let the new engine actually work on my PC. I've tried the Stalkers on 2 different PCs, and they have always crashed every 30 minutes.

If it's just going to be the same linear shit with fancy DX11 you can count me out.

Fuck, I need an upgrade.
