I doubt this will pass when a lot of the democrats aren't even for it.
I'd rather not be forced to have health care.
You know what? I hope this passes.
Hope no fucking idiots ruin it..America really needs this.
I've been arguing against this thing blindly for so long, and what a fool I was when I looked back at it. Dammit, I wanted this to be put onto the above post I made.
Still not sure how I feel about this. It seems that both options have so many advantages and disadvantages, it's pointless trying to take one side or another (unless you're personally drastically affected by it). I'm a pretty big believer in 'if it's not broken don't fix it.' Our current system works, and I'd really rather not have another trillion dollars added to the national debt for something that probably works only just as well as its alternative. I dunno, get mad at me, but I don't think it's worth the effort and resources required.
At least you have some valid concerns. What I hate is the members of the opposition who scream OMG SOCIALISM I live in one of those poor Midwest towns so I'm for it but I can't honestly say that I know what people elsewhere must be feeling about it.
This is incredibly relevant to my current situation. Recent medical tests have shown that a physical malformation I've had since birth, one which I'd never considered particularly limiting, has severely reduced my lung functions. For the past several months I've been exploiting every possible angle of the current military health plan to try and get my condition surgically corrected. Unfortunately for me, my defect is considered preexisting. Not only has the military refused to operate, they have stripped my flight status away and are now actively trying to discharge me from the Army. If the health care reforms are voted through, it'll give me new ground from which to argue my case from. At the very least, it would offer me a better legal position in which to argue them into give me the operation, thus saving my long-term career as a pilot. In a perfect world, they would not only give me the operation, but allow me to serve the remainder of my enlistment period. If it's not passed, I'll have no chance of getting my surgery paid for. I'd be thrown back into the civilian world as an uninsurable ex-soldier whose primary educational focus cannot be applied due to an inability to get a flight physical approved, with no educational benefits to allow me to pursue an alternate career path. The next several years of my life would be spent working full-time in an entry-level career field in order to raise enough money to pay for a major operation out of pocket. I am a fucking soldier. There's something seriously wrong with the way things are if my government and employer would rather throw me aside like a broken tool than give me the medical attention I need to continue serving. I've willingly signed over four years of my life to actively serving, with at least an additional four in the National Guard or Army Reserves. Eight years I've promised them. I passed basic training. I graduated my reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, target identification, imagery analysis, and flight training with a cumulative GPA of 96%. I have no disciplinary record and perform all my duties efficiently and without complaint. I am everything they asked of me and more. I work fourteen hours a day, six days a week. I've earned some fucking medical care, don't you think?
I really feel for you, even though i can't imagine what you are going through. You have my deepest wishes and i hope that everything works out. Good luck and all that. :glomp:
At least you have some valid concerns. You're the laughingstock of the civilized world when it comes to healthcare.
America really got fucked up by all the Red Scare propaganda and stuff, now they're terrified of doing what other countries have been doing for decades because "its socialism1!!!!"
You know, if they didn't mandate that even small business (i.e. less than 25-50 employees, somewhere in that range) it would not be so bad. My mom who runs her own accounting firm, as in she is the only person, HAS to insure herself or be penalized something along the lines of $4200 a year (it is $4200 per employee). I am also sure that, while we may be the "laughingstock" of the civilized world in terms of health care, that most people honestly don't care because up until a year ago we had it soo very much better than all the EU combined.
Before it's too late! :suicide: I hate Obama for this bill
Before it's too late! :suicide: I hate Obama for this bill
You have some really backwards opinions...
watch fox news. if you don't kill yourself in rage then you win.

This bill fucking sucks. There won't be any reform without a public option or a complete national healthcare plan. But I want it to pass anyways, if nothing happens nothing will ever change at all in the next 20 years. Does it not bother you that we let companies compete for profit over our very livelihood?
America really got fucked up by all the Red Scare propaganda and stuff, now they're terrified of doing what other countries have been doing for decades because "its socialism1!!!!"
Maybe you should take the time to educate yourself and find out why people really don't want it.
Can't wait to have someone paying for me, alright
Maybe you should take the time to educate yourself and find out why people really don't want it.
Because Fox scared them into thinking: 1) Death panels 2) Socialism 3) Too much money 4) Illegal Immigrants 5) Abortions on the bill 6) Free handouts I could go on. People have no fucking clue what is going on, and I'm really starting to question my philosophy of "the people know best".
I can't say much without dealing with flaming ,but... "Attempting to put out the fire with more wood only makes a bigger fire"
I can't say much without dealing with flaming ,but... "Attempting to put out the fire with more wood only makes a bigger fire"
Contemplate?
This article was not biased in any sense at all. I appreciate that very much. However, as much as liberals contend this is a humanitarian and smart plan. This will just make our debt skyrocket to the point were we will never be able to pay this off.
