The couple claimed DYFS officials gave no reason for taking the baby and had no court order to do so. "It's basically a kidnapping, but they use different terms," said Heath Campbell.
This should be illegal, you cant just steal peoples children without going to court. That said, these wackjobs would lose a court case anyway.
I can't say that i agree with the fact that they took their children on the other hand it's not exactly a good idea to name your kid after a well known dictator who was responsible for deaths of millions...
Naming your child Adolf would be alright I guess, but naming him Adolf Hitler with Hitler as second name (which doesn't make much sense considering that was his surname) is just dumb and asking for stuff like this to happen.
but there is a difference between "responsible for deaths" and "mass murderer"
I'll feel awkward if I became friends with Adolf Hitler
Imagine getting a friend request from 'Adolf Hitler' on facebook. :v:
i thought this happened years ago?
Ohh howwhoww. I want to name my kid Anders Dolph Hitch Itler Jensen now. Its dumb to take kids away because of their names..
Sounds familiar
Ohh howwhoww. I want to name my kid Anders Dolph Hitch Itler Jensen now. Its dumb to take kids away because of their names..
Adam Jensen would be shorter, AND more applicable. [sp]I never asked for this[/sp]
A New Jersey couple
:v:
On the one hand, the parents are complete lunatics, but on the other, the State is taking someone's children away from them because of their beliefs.
On the one hand, the parents are complete lunatics, but on the other, the State is taking someone's children away from them because of their beliefs.
Well there's also their history of violence.
They just gave their kids names. Names that are now diabolised because some numbnuts did something dumb this one time and now some other numbnuts forever hold a grudge against a NAME Other reasons I can agree to
Ohh howwhoww. I want to name my kid Anders Dolph Hitch Itler Jensen now. You'd have to consider the safety and the environment the kids will grow up in.
It's child abuse, pure and simple. An adults responsibility is to ensure the health and wellbeing of a child. Do you honestly expect these kids to have a normal childhood with names linked to Fascism? There's having silly names, then there's giving them names that'll be detrimental to their lives and mental health in the future. It's like having a child with a Muslim woman then naming the child 'Osama Bin Blow Up Christians Dave'
Where in Jersey is this? I want to drive over there and punch those people in the face.
Looks like Louis C.K. was wrong. There are rules to naming your kids!
I can see both sides of the story. Think about how many children are raised under religion and taught that other races/religions are evil and should be killed. My friends parents are Jewish and I mentioned one of my friends was an ex Mormon and his mom went into a rant about how they were evil and not to be trusted ever. I say if this guy no matter how much of an asshole and would probably have them taken away for some other reason. No one should have their kids taken away just because of their name.
Shall we also make it illegal to have a toothbrush mustache?
I am going to name my kid Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin :v:
It's completely retarded that a person will be made fun of and hated just for being named Adolf Hitler. There is nothing inherently wrong with the name, and having it isn't going to ensure you follow the footsteps of the Führer Adolf Hitler.

It's not like they just called their son Adolf or Hitler, but calling their daughter Aryan Nation as well? It's setting them up for a life of bullying and victimization.
Other than them purposely naming their kid after the Nazi Leader who hates Jews and wants to kill them, absolutely nothing.
It's a name! and a rather nice one. but with bad connotations.
Jersey :v: Where else.
It has nothing to do with him 'growing up' to be Hitler, it's the parents giving the kids pro-Nazi names. Even if they are named Aryan Nation, it's not like they choose to be named that, and people should be able to realize that and not make fun of them for it. Anyway, they're totally going to have their names changed.
and people should be able to realize that and not make fun of them for it.
They should. [editline]20th November 2011[/editline] but i dunno if they would.
Good thing they took the kids, imagine the bullying when they reach school
I doubt they will get bullied for that name. I believe putting them in foster care may be a worse decision, that is, if they really have no other reason to take the kids other than their names.
How come a simple name now carries the value of the things you've said? So now it's not OK to name your Japanese children Shiro Ishii and Russian children Jozef Stalin? Both sound like normal names (just like Cl0ck pointed out with Adolf Hitler). And, by the way, I find it kinda dissapointing how you pointed out only the jews. Dude, Hitler killed jews, gypsies (romanis), didn't want to see black people etc. Jews are not different to put emphasis only on them.
Yes I know Hitler killed more than Jews, I'm trying to get a point across not a history lesson.
It has nothing to do with him 'growing up' to be Hitler, it's the parents giving the kids pro-Nazi names. Guess what, children get bullied. Yeah, it sucks that it happens, but you know what? It's going to happen, no matter how many children you kidnap. Now, if there was actually violence within the household, that'd be a good reason to take them.
This is absolutely appalling, the fact that they could be reported and punished for naming their child Adolf Hitler, disgusting.
