*Cough*http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/1998/04.23/DiscoverofWater.html
Ah my mistake, but what does this prove?
And if water was the first compound, was exactly does that prove? Nothing, that's what. And going by your understanding of hydrogen binding with shit, why is water so hard to find on other planets, for one. Secondarily, nitrogen would have formed before oxygen, and thus hydrogen would bind with it first?
Billiam challenged the idea that the bible states water was one of the first things created when in fact hydrogen and oxygen, are among the most abundant elements in the universe.
How do i know that you're "big bang" evidence isn't just a bunch of bullshit that you don't understand, and even if you do, how do you know it's not a lie?
Because a guy with a beard who walks around in a night robe and magically heals people is more evidence than science.
The only reason i don't have evidence is because whenever i reference the bible/torah WHICH IS TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS you tell me "OH NO LOL DATS NOT REAL EVIDENCE, DATS FAKE EVIDENCE" How do i know that you're "big bang" evidence isn't just a bunch of bullshit that you don't understand, and even if you do, how do you know it's not a lie?
Background radiation.

Evidence of the Big-Bang is multiple formulas theorized along with visual evidence from radiation from the big-bang just recently reaching telescopes. [editline]11:35PM[/editline]
Background radiation.
Yeah this.
Burning hydrogen causes the formation of water. H2 + O2 --> 2H2O
You cannot just hold a candle to hydrogen and oxygen and get water, we're talking about massive energy to form the amount of water we have on Earth.
Billiam challenged the idea that the bible states water was one of the first things created when in fact hydrogen and oxygen, are among the most abundant elements in the universe.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abundance_of_the_chemical_elements True. Currently anyway. At the time of the big bang, hydrogen was the first element to exist, but nitrogen came before oxygen, which pretty much fucks over your idea that the first thing to form was H2O. Moreover, even if it was, it doesn't prove anything.
Billiam challenged the idea that the bible states water was one of the first things created when in fact hydrogen and oxygen, are among the most abundant elements in the universe.
Okay? The universe wasn't created in a week, women weren't conceived from a rib.
You cannot just hold a candle to hydrogen and oxygen and get water, we're talking about massive energy to form the amount of water we have on Earth.
How about just a massive amount of oxygen and hydrogen? Remember the Hindenburg? Yeah. It ran out of hydrogen to burn eventually, and the air isn't even over 50% Oxygen. [editline]11:39PM[/editline]
That's because it isn't scientific evidence, there is absolutely nothing testable/repeatable about it.
How about just a massive amount of oxygen and hydrogen? Remember the Hindenburg? Yeah. It ran out of hydrogen to burn eventually, and the air isn't even over 50% Oxygen.
Yup, that one huge explosion and massive amounts of hydrogen maybe created a gallon of water. Compare that to the Earths water supply.
Stop arguing about the 'big bang'. This discussion is about gay marriage.
Okay? The universe wasn't created in a week, women weren't conceived from a rib.
Oh darn I'm out of science,I suppose I should be leaving now do to the fact that I have completely failed at proving the scientific legitimacy of a religion or disproving an assertion about the underlying reality that brings about or affects a phenomenon(aka a theory) when in fact that wasn't my intentions in the first place. I really should be off now but it was fun getting attacked by those who disagreed with me or stated me as ignorant. Hope to do it again some time -Dr.D :fuckyou:
Stop arguing about the 'big bang'. This discussion is about gay marriage.
Gay Marriage is only controversial because of religion. To form an argument against Gay Marriage, you need to accept that some religion is correct. To argue that Gay Marriage should be allowed you have to attack the source of the reasoning against it, in this case, religion.
Stop arguing about the 'big bang'. This discussion is about gay marriage.
To gay marriage or not to gay marriage? This thread is now about Civil Union-ship vs Gay Marriage. Pros and cons for both.
Bawww majority of the people in that state don't like gay marriage. As a conservative, I don't like the liberal policies in my state, but the majority of the people here still vote for them, so I don't bitch.
Bullshit, every thread I see you in you're complaining about liberals.

I'm out of stuff to talk about. I should leave now that I can't support my belief. (i never wanted 2 anyway ur dumb) Now I'm going to bring up a point about an underlying reality which is a completely evidenced wild claim by me. I'm going to leave now because I might actually start questioning my beliefs soon.

I never attacked you, you're complaining about nothing. [editline]11:51PM[/editline]
Translation: Oh damn. I'm out of stuff to talk about.
To gay marriage or not to gay marriage? This thread is now about Civil Union-ship vs Gay Marriage. Pros and cons for both.
Pros: Makes sense. Separation of Church and State and such. Cons: Makes insecure god fearing Christians wet themselves. [editline]11:52PM[/editline] /thread

This is somewhat just ranting, but the bible/religious book/whatever isn't evidence of anything, because it relies on the acceptance of god as an existent entity that can affect the world. There is no evidence for god, and thus the logical conclusion is that he does not exist, thus the bible/book/whatever is moot.
If you're catholic, god loves if you have sex with and marry young children.
I heard that in maine people are more educated than other places, I think wikipedia is where I read the statistics.
I heard that in maine people are more educated than other places, I think wikipedia is where I read the statistics.
Education =/= Intelligence =/= Common Sense =/= Gullibility
Education =/= Intelligence =/= Common Sense =/= Gullibility
Why are gays so angry at maine voters, they voted too.
Galactic red shift.
Cosmic background radiation. We can literally see the edge of the universe, and since light travels at a certain measurable speed, we can accurately guess how the age of the universe.
Why are gays so angry at maine voters, they voted too.
They voted for not repealing it, and it was repealed, but only because of the religious views of the people who voted to repeal it. A human right is being denied because of the religious beliefs of the majority.
is there not a win-win situation? for fucks sake, what's the problem if 2 dudes in some place miles away from you decide to marry?
is there not a win-win situation? for fucks sake, what's the problem if 2 dudes in some place miles away from you decide to marry?
it destroyes the sanctitiy of marrige i dont want my daughter with anothr girl

On one hand you say you are for civil rights, peace and personal freedoms. On the other you violently demonise those who oppose your political beliefs.
