• Halo 3 PC (maybe) real - Possible announcement this month or uh sometime!

I still want to believe in a proper Halo 3 PC port. I don't care if I get massively disappointed.
Regarding H2PC, We do have an enhanced Unlocked H2EK (Halo 2 Editing Kit) with which we can create at least 95% of the tags. We also have an improved H2Tool that allows us to compile scenarios beyond just multi-player. This is all because of the custom mapping/modding community, we have never received proper support from Microsoft, in fact, their "updates" actually took features away from the H2EK, features such as the Map Preview Picture (when a user is viewing the map list). Its ironic considering they included this: Its essentially saying that its okay for them to include nudity but not us, whether we ever intended to include nudity or not. Which is, yes, completely ridiculous. What is missing is the ability to compile our own render models, collision models, and animations.; this is required for custom objects, scenery, weapons, and vehicles. I use a few workarounds to create my own but they are limited in scope and require a lot of extra work to implement. They should have included more tags and at least one example 3DS Max BSP, we now have our own Essential Collection that fills in many of these areas, but it would have saved a lot of time and encouraged more mappers if these where provided from the beginning. All of these features were promised before the release of H2PC but never delivered on. You can see as much in this video: http://youtu.be/1JOCuKDRJkw
It seems weird, that Facepunch used to hate halo, and now look we've got 156 winners on this OP Funny how, a post saying got about 70 agrees. [editline]11th July 2013[/editline] bandwagons at their best
How dare he have an opinion diferent to mine, he must be on a bandwagon because there is no way people hate this game.
Every post in here that doesn't have more info about Halo 3 PC/Halo 2v update is slowly driving me insane.
Exactly, this isn't a case of Facepunch suddenly liking Halo(If anything that would be a Bandwagon in of itself) This Thread is about Halo, Therefore it attracts people who like Halo. Of course you're gonna get nothing but people agreeing with you.Why would anyone who's not a troll come to a thread they hate?.
How dare he have an opinion diferent to mine, he must be on a bandwagon because there is no way people hate this game.
I don't know, they're both halo threads, but they're both drastically different opinions?
I don't know, they're both halo threads, but they're both drastically different opinions?
Because obviously people can't hate something without being on a bandwagon. What is critical thinking?
How dare he have an opinion diferent to mine, he must be on a bandwagon because there is no way people hate this game.
and I'm not insulting him over it either, but it honestly seems like a bandwagon effect. [editline]11th July 2013[/editline] I'm not saying that either, what I mean is when Halo was popular the majority hated that, and now CoD is popular and lots of FP hate that too
If they do an update to Halo 2 Vista they better fix the thing where if you press the chat key while typing your chat it closes the chat window. Especially since most PC gamers are used to VALVe's Y/U chat buttons.
The chat key is F1 for me so that's not a problem at all. It's been default to F1 for me for ages, but yeah they should probably fix that
The official Halo 3 group keeps appearing and disappearing from my list of favourite groups on Steam. Is something going on?
They don't appear on my steam friends list dialogue but they're still there.
Nevar is right, I've never had a problem accessing the group via IOS before yet now I cant access it, any one else?
Regarding H2PC, - post about amazing community made mod tools that were neutered by updates -
Man, imagine where Halo 2 PC would be today if they had their fucking shit together day 1.
The official Halo 3 group keeps appearing and disappearing from my list of favourite groups on Steam. Is something going on?
Steam has been getting slammed with traffic due to the Steam Summer Sale, so it could be related to that.
I think I'll try calling the xbox number but I don't have skype credit.
wait, why?
UPDATE, the groups no longer redirect you, however it takes you to an invalid page. My heart skipped a beat. However, when I read it, it said this: It DIDN'T say "No group could be retrieved for the given URL." Which is good. If you want to see this for yourself, each Halo group has the same message. http://steamcommunity.com/games/216760 Halo 1 http://steamcommunity.com/games/216780 Halo 2 http://steamcommunity.com/games/216800 Halo 3
I just want resolution. That or to have the knowledge of this purged from memory so that when/if it comes out, it's a pleasant surprise.
I think I'll try calling the xbox number but I don't have skype credit.
I still want to know what's to be gained in doing this.
Halo 3 has disappeared again from my favourite group list on Steam.
Mines still in my groups list.
At least Steam Summer Sale will distract me and will help me to forget about this for a few days :P
Any news? :P
Any news? :P
"After the most recent serverlist downage which some of you may have not even noticed happened as it was very quick to come back up, a couple hours at most. But after said downtime I did my usual check of the serverlist IP address and have discovered that our lovely game has been officially moved onto the Microsoft Global Foundation Services. Which is what they use to host all the Xbox, Hotmail, Outlook, MSN, Skype, and etc. servers, instead off us being hosted in some random MS office. I myself am curious to what this means, is our game being supported silently? is it just that we will never go down? or are they just putting us up and throwing us under the rug? we wont know anything until an official announcement is made, but I will keep my hopes up." I played Halo 3 years and years ago on my friends Xbox 360 and I loved it, I couldn't believe it wasn't on PC. I thought the coop was great (the first time I'd ever really tried it iirc) and Forge mode was a ton of fun. Seriously, Microsoft were stupid for not releasing it earlier.
I didn't realise people wanted Halo 3 on the PC so badly.
