The only one with a brain, it appears.
Epic backpedal maneuver!
This is why you pay for health care through taxes and not insurance like us English do.
Ah, yes. Through taxes. In a nation of three-hundred million people. Each of which could take thousands to pay for... What. On the subject itself...I don't see why that even makes sense. Do the doctors stop working so hard when they find out you can't pay? Someone explain this to me.
It's easier to enjoy if everyone realizes.
you know nothing about trolling
It's easier to enjoy if everyone realizes.
Who the fuck are you kidding?
Well, as sad is it may seem, hospitals have to turn a profit. Helping the uninsured is generally not profitable. It seems cruel when the "products" are lives, but it is still a manner of capitalism.
Hense why capitalism might not be the best system for healthcare.
Yeah it does, you work your ass off to afford health insurance means you live. Guy next to you slacks off doings nothing because hes a dumb shit and he dies in the ER because he barely got by.
lol you're 15 aren't you? you don't work your ass of to pay for anything
It's not uncommon for a person to not have health insurance, for a variety of reasons, even though they are a hard working person. Someday it could be you, just remember that if the day comes you need medical treatment and can't pay for it.
Can't say it isn't very surprising. Source: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33971846/ns/health-health_care/
I'm surprised the ratio of insured patients surviving to uninsured patients surviving wasn't something like 3:1, really.
Yeah it does, you work your ass off to afford health insurance means you live. Guy next to you slacks off doings nothing because hes a dumb shit and he dies in the ER because he barely got by.
That has nothing to do with Natural Selection in the Biological nature sense of the weak genes and weak members dying off. You could argue it's Natural Selection by Society but, Cars are not natural, Guns are not natural, Planes are not natural and thus the injuries and deaths caused by them, can't be classed as Natural Selection. Because Natural Selection never intended for them, and intended for nature where ones with weak genes, fat, short, bad immune systems, retarded would die out. Not those who got shot, or crashed, or some shit. In other words, it's not natural selection.

My boss is nice enough to give us a nice health insurance plan for workers working over 3 months, but fuck, I feel sorry for the other people whose boss's aren't that nice.

This is why when health insurance company-funded astroturf groups cry about the plight of people making over half a million a year getting little tax increases, they fall on deaf ears. I honestly do not give a shit about people who live ludicrously extravagant lives, because they all do so on the backs of untold numbers of working class slaves. I am 100% for the government taking a little slice of those mountains of wealth and using it to give their slaves at least the dignity of having their illnesses and injuries treated. So fucking what if it is socialism, it's more morally just than this "Pay up or die in agony" farce that we have to put up with.
The only one with a brain, it appears.
GJ You had a good thing going but you just proved you weren't actually trolling and that you just have no concept of natural selection.
Trolling is a art, there are no rules for it.
yes there is rules
Although, he's a coal miner, I can sympathize with that guy, being a construction worker myself. while jackasses in expensive suits lay their ass in a comfy air coniditoned rooms in a skyscraper, getting healthcare because they're rich, we workers who built that fucking room and the skyscraper with blood and sweat are being scrapped over.
Not all those jackasses feel the same way as most. There are a quite a few that agree with you. I am 17 and haven't' had health care my entire life. Neither of my parents graduated from highschool, but they are some of the hardest working people I ever met. I plan to graduate college and hopefully make a nice lviing. I know I will appreciate my health insurance (whether or not it is one I have to buy or its free). Everyone should be taken care of by their country.
The more time goes on and the more arguments I'm presented with the more open minded to healthcare I am. But I only have one major concern. I make about $400 a month currently, which is just enough for me to get by. If the government is going to tax my ass off I'll be fucked. They're already shit canning 1/5th of my paycheck. If they want to tax the living hell out of the 6 figure income families, so be it, but I can't afford a tax hike. I've survived fine buying medication on my own and paying for my own doctor visits without the high cost of health insurance, and I can continue to do so without a problem.
I don't think lower income people are taxed.
I don't think lower income people are taxed.
By the new healthcare plan? Because like I said, 1/5th of my paycheck goes into taxes.

And even that is 10%. What the hell is up with your tax rates in the US?
Trolling is a art, there are no rules for it.
Trolling is easy, observe: This is a Christian country, don't let those ignorant kids going through their "atheist phase" fool you. Anyone with a bit of logic can see the earth is 10,000 years old. You twilight haters need to get a life. I, unlike you, don't need to bash a good book because I feel the need to prove my masculinity. Some people gain psychological pleasure from torturing animals, and they should be aloud to do so. We shouldn't shove their morals down our throats.
What the hell is up with your tax rates in the US?
Who knows, luckily the cost of living where I do is practically nothing.
Because like I said, 1/5th of my paycheck goes into taxes.
Oh no That's nothing compared to countries where income tax is upwards of 35-50%.
Oh no That's nothing compared to countries where income tax is upwards of 35-50%.
It is when you only bring home around $100 a week.
It is when you only bring home around $100 a week.
Well you're probably eligible for some kind of rebate or something.
I've survived fine buying medication on my own and paying for my own doctor visits without the high cost of health insurance, and I can continue to do so without a problem.
Are you doing everything you probably should be doing though? Because of insurance reasons, I didn't go to the dentist until I was 13, luckily it wasn't all so bad. Hell, some people even compliment my teeth, and I've only been twice in my life, but I know I still need a lot of work done. I also can't remember the last time I had a standard health check up. I think my lack of insurance has lead me being a bit paranoid about my health.
It is when you only bring home around $100 a week.
Pretty sure there's some kind of financial assistance for people in your position.

So yes, I am "doing everything I should be doing." [editline]09:22PM[/editline]
Pretty sure there's some kind of financial assistance for people in your position.
When people can barely get unemployment right now, I highly doubt that there's anything I can get.
This is why you pay for health care through taxes and not insurance like us English do.
Too bad we have 300 million people living in our country rather than just 50 million. You Brits are generally smarter than the average American also, may explain why it works out so well. Some people are nobles and some people are serfs, nothing will ever change.
