Yeah aftershocks can go on for years after a large earthquake, and this one was pretty fucking huge.
apparently there was another earthquake today? god damn, fuck off mothernature
The vast majority of the aftershocks to this quake were more powerful than the main event in Christchurch a couple weeks ago. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
Generally fissures don't appear until about 8 on the Richter scale. Apparently the rupture for this was about 400km long by 200km wide.
Ground splits open and gushes water in Tokyo

I wish people would stop spamming that shit.
There's still quakes going on? Damn.
Entertainment » Hello Kitty Creator Among Hundreds Dead In Japan So entertaining. [sp]NOT[/sp]
I think it just means it's entertainment news, as in it's to do with the entertainment industry, which is kind of it. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
There's still quakes going on? Damn.
Yeah I know, what the fuck is this plate doing?
Yeah this makes me wonder what the "Great Earthquake" will be like for Californians. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] Like me
Yeah this makes me wonder what the "Great Earthquake" will be like for Californians. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] Like me
20.8
20.8
i think at that point the plate flips it's shit so hard it launches the entire west into space
20.8
The power of a 20.8 earthquake would be 1000000000007x greater than the 9.1 that went off in the pacific ocean. I think it's safe to say that if that happens, Earth is joining a new galaxy.
20.8
Even if earth is hit by Jupiter it won't be stronger then a 16. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] Fuck, we have to go into a black hole to experience a 18
Assuming the richter scale, which iirc has been replaced.
i think at that point the plate flips it's shit so hard it launches the entire west into space
Considering a 20 on the Richter scale is roughly a hundred billion times more powerful than an 8.9, I think you're about right.
Magnitute 9000 would be pretty sick!
r8 me l8, m8
Magnitute 9000 would be pretty sick!
Leave.
I lost my braincells: http://www.facebook.com/derfolicious?v=wall http://youropenbook.org/?q=pearl+harbor&gender=any I am obviously referring to the people who said "this is karma for pearl harbor lololololololol".
I hate everyone in this picture. Make me ashamed to be an American [tab]Tagged for mind-melting rage[/tab] [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] What makes me mad even more is that the majority of these people are 16-25 year olds that were never directly affected by Pearl Harbor yet are probably bandwagoning because it's funny or whatever.
Assuming the richter scale, which iirc has been replaced.
yeah, about 30 years ago. When the media reports magnitude, even though they're calling it as though it was on the Richter scale, it's almost certainly not.
I found out about my mum... she didn't survive the horrible disaster..
ok?
if this is karma for Pearl Harbor, I can't wait for our punishment for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
if this is karma for Pearl Harbor, I can't wait for our punishment for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
That was Chernobyl.
That was Chernobyl.
How was Chernobyl a massive disaster for the US exactly?
Ignorance is bliss.
I was just listening to that song
if this is karma for Pearl Harbor, I can't wait for our punishment for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
I can't wait for their punishment for Nanking. Every oversized monster at once, perhaps?
if this is karma for Pearl Harbor, I can't wait for our punishment for Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
I wonder what happens to USA because of the 9/11. Maybe another building collapses from there?
ok?
Wow, you're a dick.
Reading the comments on Facebook is so infuriating. But you can have some fun when you find someone who makes it so everyone can post. [img_thumb]http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/159/jphidiot.png[/img_thumb]
