In a good way.
On Wednesday, Reddit user MrsLeslie posted a note that Rick Harrison, one of the show's stars, penned to a young fan with autism who wrote in.According to MrsLeslie, the boy's mom said: Little J is a huge fan of 'Pawn Stars,' and he talks about the show incessantly. I encouraged him to write them a letter, which he did, and he offered to sell his Gameboy to them for $30. I added a cover letter describing J and his autism -- and although I told them that I didn't expect them to actually buy his Gameboy, I did ask if they could at least reply.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/yUCt41C.jpg[/t] Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/17/pawn-stars-note_n_4605037.html
I would make a bartering joke but I can't bring myself to.
That's, Nice? I dunno the letter sounds nice, but the title makes it sound like they straight up were dicks about it.
I dont see anything wrong with what they wrote in return... How is this news
Wow you sneaky fucker with that title. It's always great hearing about the little things like this that can make someone's day.
That title is top notch.
How the fuck do you turn "Rick Harrison Of 'Pawn Stars' Responds To Letter From Little Boy With Autism In Most Awesome Way" into "Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars Rejects an Autistic Boy"?
-sniparoo, poorly thought out joke, didnt mean for it to be taken seriously
How the fuck do you turn "Rick Harrison Of 'Pawn Stars' Responds To Letter From Little Boy With Autism In Most Awesome Way" into "Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars Rejects an Autistic Boy"?
Sensationalist Headlines.
I can't wait till people get banned because they only read the title
because he rejected the gameboy duh
implying he didn't give money and didn't buy at all instead he basically gave away 30$
How the fuck do you turn "Rick Harrison Of 'Pawn Stars' Responds To Letter From Little Boy With Autism In Most Awesome Way" into "Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars Rejects an Autistic Boy"?
Because he rejected the gameboy.
I can't wait till people get banned because they only read the title implying he didn't give money and didn't buy at all instead he basically gave away 30$
And a signed picture of the whole cast. Really just a sweet thing to do. Something that little probably made that kid immensely happy.
Because he rejected the gameboy.
But he didn't, he bought it and donated it back
How the fuck do you turn "Rick Harrison Of 'Pawn Stars' Responds To Letter From Little Boy With Autism In Most Awesome Way" into "Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars Rejects an Autistic Boy"?
Alternate better title " Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars buys Autistic Boy's gameboy, donates it back "
because he rejected the gameboy duh
Except that he accepted it for the requested price then decided to donate it back to the child.
Because he rejected the gameboy.
except if you read the fucking letter, you'd see he bought it, then donated it back to the kid.
I dont see anything wrong with what they wrote in return... How is this news
Because people are running out of things to talk about that isn't what's going on in the middle east, and what's wrong with the Government today.
He should of asked for battletoads.
That's, Nice? I dunno the letter sounds nice, but the title makes it sound like they straight up were dicks about it.
Yes obviously. You see what I did was I took a detail out if the story, and by eliminating its context it made it seem awful, so people would click the thread expecting something negative and have a heartwarming story instead. Crazy I know (User was banned for this post ("The sub-section title is *not* literal - use a descriptive title next time" - Megafan))
There's sensationalism and then there's blatantly lying.
except if you read the fucking letter, you'd see he bought it, then donated it back to the kid.
He chose not to keep it. That's rejection, he just dressed it up with a letter and $30.
He chose not to keep it. That's rejection, he just dressed it up with a letter and $30.
Bad way to look at it. Obviously he wasnt going to keep the kids gameboy, so he didnt accept it in a nice way. I used rejection in the thread for reasons stated in my above post.
He chose not to keep it. That's rejection, he just dressed it up with a letter and $30.
And you know this how? Did you talk to the man while he was drafting the letter? Were you there when he got the gameboy? Or are you just assuming the mans a huge dick for no reason?
I like this show too. I was also surprised to learn Chumlee is 30-something.
Heartfull bastards
He should send it in again and see if he can get another 30 dollars. Maybe the boy found the real life cheat code to unlimited money?
He chose not to keep it. That's rejection, he just dressed it up with a letter and $30.
it's not rejection I don't get where or how you think it is. Nothing about it is the act of rejection; an act of dismissal and refusal of a proposal. Instead, this is an acceptance of a proposal as well as the proposition of a new one. As in "here's your gameboy that I just bought back too".
He should send it in again and see if he can get another 30 dollars. Maybe the boy found the real life cheat code to unlimited money?
What a buggy ass game shit needs to get patched asap

It was a bad joke title that fell flat, nothing more to it than that. On topic, It's always nice to hear about TV people doing nice things.
Rick is a cool guy in my book, but this just reinforced it even more.
