The first picture of Andrew Garfield as the web-slinger has been unveiled (see below). The rising actor is replacing Tobey Maguire as the wall-crawling superhero in the upcoming reboot of 'Spider-Man'. The new film will focus more on Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) in high school. Sam Raimi, who directed the previous trilogy, has been replaced by '(500) Days of Summer' helmer Marc Webb. While Garfield showed considerable acting talent in 'Boy A', the 'Red Riding' trilogy and 'The Social Network', Marvel fans have been concerned about how he will look as Spider-Man. However, this picture should put their fears to rest for the time being, with the moody image, showing a bruised and bloodied Garfield, sharing similarities to the comic book Peter Parker. The costume as well seems less sculpted than in the previous movies. Talking about the part, Garfield recently told Details magazine: "I want to feel stronger than I've ever felt, and I want to feel more flexible. I want to feel powerful. You don't want to just be a pack of meat — it has to be an open body. It does something to your psyche, and it does something to the way you move." The movie, which is released in 2012, also sees 'Zombieland's Emma Stone play Peter Parker's love interest, Gwen Stacey.
http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/blog/article/120270/spider-man-picture-caught-on-the-web.html To be honest, that suit looks like complete crap.
what a faget
i think it looks good, looks more like spidey been so skinny too
Why do a fourth movie?
This does NOT need a fourth movie, the third one was bad enough.
This does NOT need a fourth movie, the third one was bad enough.
Not a sequel.
Not a sequel.
It is a Reboot/Restart. I see no point in reintroducing the story, but oh well. Superman, Batman and Spiderman all released in the same year. :unsmith:
What a crappy suit, looks like a teenager made i- WAIT
-Nevermind- people misread that as an insult to Kickass.
"Hmm, the worst part about the 3rd movie was Emo Peter Parker. What should we do for the reboot?" "Emo Peter Parker!" "BRILLIANT!"

Kinda interested in this, Tobey Maguire annoys the hell out of me for some reasons and Andrew Garfield looks more the part in my opinion.

That is awful.
Can't be much worse than Tobey Maguire. I mean come on.
I'm not too excited for it, but I'll watch it sometime in life. Probably.
2 steps backward, 1 step..... backward.
yay! E[del]l[/del]mos!

Too much suit texture Too angsty The guy's head looks too big and goofy
The film franchise is less than 10 years old and its already being rebooted, for fuck sake.
I still wonder how we're supposed to believe he crafted such elaborate costumes by himself in secret. Shouldn't it just be fabric sewn together in a fancy design? I wondered it 9 years ago and I wonder it now.
I honestly don't know what to think.

Seems like it has a Dark Knight feel to it.
This is going to be bad, they're re-doing the spider-man the original actors, director, etc. are all gone Sony fucked up, I have a feeling this wont do well.
Will this one be more "Realistic"? Like it doesn't do all the Radioactive spider bite thingy.

I don't get how him having the moppy hair and skinny physique from the comics makes him emo. People are making up reasons to hate it before there is even a trailer.

But I don't know about the whole returning to high school thing.
I'll have to see the movie. Although, I hate the idea that it's a reboot, for now I'll try to ignore that fact and judge it individually. It looks like it has potential. Right now it looks very interesting.
