No, Israel. You are the Nazis And then Ovadia Yosef was a Hitler
No, Israel. You are the Nazis And then Ovadia Yosef was a Hitler
Sometimes I seriously fear for the extreme-religious-right but I doubt anything like that can happen.
That's terrible. Isreal shouldn't be a country, at all, they are hate mongering dicks.
That terrible. Isreal shouldn't be a country, at all.
Because of what one guy that doesn't represent the country said?
Because of what one guy that doesn't represent the country said?
No, because of hundreeds of war crimes and racism.
Yeah because ultra-orthodox Jews = Israel. Also there are so many people in the world who call for ethnic cleansing of all Muslims its ridiculous.
The Israeli defence minister(?) called for a holocaust of the Palestinians. [editline]11:10PM[/editline]
Because of what one guy that doesn't represent the country said?
The government is making a good impression to follow this guys advice. [editline]11:12PM[/editline]
Sometimes I seriously fear for the extreme-religious-right but I doubt anything like that can happen.
Israel can slaughter countless innocents, and no one pipes up... You REALLY think this is out of their reach? [editline]11:14PM[/editline]
Both parts of this sentence are wrong. You like that computer you're using? Major parts of it were invented in Israel. Also, everyone in Israel is seriously pissed at this idiot, Ovadia Yosef, and has been for a long time since he always says stupid things like that. He once said that religious education is more important than all other forms of education, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not seeing much of an outcry. He's no more radical then members of your government.
The Israeli defence minister(?) called for a holocaust of the Palestinians.
It was an Israeli official from the defense ministry, not the minister of defense, and he warned the Palestinians in Gaza that they would bring another holocaust upon themselves, should they continue firing rockets at Israel, prior to cast lead.
The government is making a good impression to follow this guys advice.
How, exactly?
Israel can slaughter countless innocents, and no one pipes up... You REALLY think this is out of their reach?
Yeah except the extreme-religious-right didn't have anything to do with it, and it wasn't an outright slaughter, like with the goal of exterminating or slaughtering them, but the goal was to stop military actions against Israeli citizens.
I'm not seeing much of an outcry. He's no more radical then members of your government.
Maybe you don't because you don't live here? I can tell from personal experiences that nobody is crazy like that except for the extreme right. A lot of people don't care, but only a few actually believe in these things.
That's terrible. Isreal shouldn't be a country, at all, they are hate mongering dicks.
The problem isn't one specific nation or country, the problem is generalizing idiots, much like yourself.
That's terrible. Isreal shouldn't be a country, at all, they are hate mongering dicks.
Because 1 man's opinion = entire country's opinion. That's like saying we should've enslaved all of Germany because Hitler promoted genocide.
Skipped reading this thread, but this seems like a good comparison. This guy's like Pat Robertson or any other asshole preacher that was/is part of the moral majority and the religious right. They say hateful, horrible things, but they don't represent the country as a whole. Just because Robertson or whoever had been an adviser to the president or in a governmental position doesn't mean their remarks reflect on the government overall. Though it's a bit different since the "chief rabbi" was a state instituted position, but whatever.
"The 89-year-old is a respected religious scholar but is also known for vitriolic comments about Arabs, secular Jews, liberals, women and gays, among others." Yeah and the rich Moral Majority evangelists who do the same exact thing in America represent our country now? [editline]04:22PM[/editline] In fact I bet they probably would advocate genocide of Muslims also but well they aren't in Israel that makes it not worthy to rage at.
Aw fuck the point was already made. Oh well...
Israel is going too far
It was an Israeli official from the defense ministry, not the minister of defense, and he warned the Palestinians in Gaza that they would bring another holocaust upon themselves, should they continue firing rockets at Israel, prior to cast lead.
Thanks for clarification. They're still fucking insane.
How, exactly?
Iunno, the 3000+ dead Palestinians gives a hint.
Yeah except the extreme-religious-right didn't have anything to do with it, and it wasn't an outright slaughter, like with the goal of exterminating or slaughtering them, but the goal was to stop military actions against Israeli citizens.
over a 1000 innocents killed, 300 of whom were children, all in one military rush... And that's perfectly acceptable? All for the lives of 25 Israeli civilians as a result of their damaging policy? THAT'S fair?
Maybe you don't because you don't live here? I can tell from personal experiences that nobody is crazy like that except for the extreme right. A lot of people don't care, but only a few actually believe in these things.
I'm referring to the ones who do.
The problem isn't one specific nation or country, the problem is generalizing idiots, much like yourself.
When your government oversees the borderline extermination of 3000+ innocent people, a quarter being children, you think I'm the problem?
Thanks for clarification. They're still fucking insane.
He's*
Iunno, the 3000+ dead Palestinians gives a hint.
The death toll is less than half of that. Also, considering he urged Israel to kill tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands, how could you say that Israel followed his advice?
over a 1000 innocents killed, 300 of whom were children, all in one military rush... And that's perfectly acceptable? All for the lives of 25 Israeli civilians as a result of their damaging policy? THAT'S fair?
This isn't a war over numbers. These things don't work like that, if I kill two people from your family, that doesn't mean you get to kill two people from mine. Israel didn't work based on revenge, but on removing the future threat. What would you have Israel do, continue to sit there and take it for years on end?
I'm referring to the ones who do.
Well obviously the few who agree with what Ovadia Yosef said wouldn't care, but the rest do care, and they're angrier than ever.
When your government oversees the borderline extermination of 3000+ innocent people, a quarter being children, you think I'm the problem?
I was talking about the other guy who said Israel shouldn't exist, but yeah, you think the same, so you're also part of the problem. Oh and you also generalize way too much for anyone to actually accept your arguments. And BTW, you do realize that probably most of these children were supporting Hamas in some way? Because the Hamas has a long history of using children and women who are disguised as civilians to help them? For example they use them for suicide bombings a lot, and often children stood next to rocket launching squads.
This is gonna be good.
Iunno, the 3000+ dead Palestinians gives a hint.
More Israelites are dead than that from Hamas, Middle Eastern nations, and Palestine.
Well it's true- they overbreed, why do you think two major floods just happened to india, pakistan and china at the same time? God\mother nature\raptor jesus is just trying to keep the population down. [editline]11:27AM[/editline]
More Israelites are dead than that from Hamas, Middle Eastern nations, and Palestine.
When israel was first formed it was attacked by several of the muslim nations around it- which brought about the conflict we see today, but israel is better armed than them now. So instead of mass war'ing on israel they mass bitch instead and send over missles to blow up israelie homes.
Israel invented a lot of cool stuff, not miltary wise.
I laugh at the people disagreeing with this. If it wasn't for Israel, many Facepunch users wouldn't be posting on their Intel computers. As for miliarty wise, they have some cool stuff:

It was because of the Ottomans' ridiculous rules and taxation in Palestine which lead many Arabs there to sell their lands to rich Arabs who didn't live there, but the Arabs of Palestine still stayed in the lands and worked there, that let the Zionists buy these lands from the rich Arabs, and the Arabs who originally owned the land but had to sell it to the rich Arabs, felt like the Zionists were stealing their land (they didn't feel that they lost the lands when they sold it to the rich Arabs, because they still stayed there and worked, but the Zionists who later bought the lands wanted to work it themselves).
I suggest you guys to ignore those religious people, many of them are extremist and doesn't represent the ideology of the whole population.
Extremist religious people=/=Israel, no matter how you put it. A lot of people in Israel really hate these guys. Also, give me a fucking break, as if there aren't any religious figures world wide that call for the genocide of all Muslims.
I'm always amused to see certain non-Israelis insinuating that they have a better grasp of Israeli public sentiment than a member of the Israeli public.
.
I'm always amused to see certain non-Israelis insinuating that they have a better grasp of Israeli public sentiment than a member of the Israeli public.
Which is ironic, because you're Australian.
So when are the genocides taking place? So i can watch it on liveleak? Perhaps i'll just buy a lawn in Palestine build a wounderfull house after a bargain price and convert to Judaism? I might even work my way to the top of the pyramid and run America and the world!
This guy doesn't speak for all of Israel... If we assumed the Westboro Baptist Church spoke for all of America, everyone would think we were insane too.
People should also ignore the majority of militant Islamist groups and not invade countries because of them.
There's a bit of a difference between religious figures urging genocide and organised groups acting on them. Even if someone is a minority within, they cannot be allowed to continue. People don't invade Islamic countries every time an Imam calls for death, only when they start acting on it.
burn em down is a jew spy
There's a bit of a difference between religious figures urging genocide and organised groups acting on them. Any person with power and enough followers can urge genocide on a certain group. But actually doing it... Now that's far worse. Thankfully this never happened before, and will never happen anytime soon. God, I hate wars.
"REMEMBER THE HOLOCAUST!" Now excuse me, I need to do some ethnic cleansing. Hypocritical dipshits.
Most of the people in Israel don't support religious figures, especially not old silly rabbi. Not only that, I've seen more than a few times Muslim religious figures who call death on Israel (such as: nasralla), so I don't see why putting so much attention on this rabbi.
