The 45-seat kaBOOM party bus was on its way to collect schoolchildren for an excursion when a tyre burst, near Mallala on Adelaide's northern outskirts. The driver managed to pull over safely and was attempting to change the tyre when fire erupted. Country Fire Service crews took half an hour to put out the blaze, which destroyed the bus which had a KABOOM1 numberplate. Max Wooldridge was driving by and stopped to help. "We didn't know it was on fire until we went to go change it (tyre) and then we noticed there was some flames so we ran inside the cab to get the extinguisher," he said. "Came back, doused it with the whole extinguisher and just wasn't enough. "It was just much too hot and it spread much too far." No-one was injured during the emergency.
Haha
Michal bus
"we noticed there was some flames so we ran inside the cab to get the extinguisher" I know that's where the extinguisher is and all that, but isn't it incredibly dangerous to run back into a burning vehicle?
First a smuggler's car with a SMUGLR drivers plate, and now an exploding bus with KaBOOM on the front? Enchanted automobiles, they exist.
The only way to go out is with a bang, in this case, boom!
Need the irony meter emote right here..
The 45-seat kaBOOM party bus was on its way to collect schoolchildren
Holy fuck, crisis averted.

Irony at it's worse
It's a good thing this happened before it picked up the children or else "No-one was injured during the emergency" probably wouldn't have been a part of the article.
How did the fire start?
that's pretty zing-y though.
Insurance fraud? That has to have been planned, and the crooks were getting cheeky.
Insurance fraud? That has to have been planned, and the crooks were getting cheeky.
Doubtful this bus was planned for use, thus something they would be making money on, if they were attempting insurance fraud it more likely would have been a bus they were doing maintenance checks on.
Seems like the bus went KaBOOM.
it is ironic
What a blast.
First a smuggler's car with a SMUGLR drivers plate, and now an exploding bus with KaBOOM on the front? Enchanted automobiles, they exist.
Putting "Half-Life 3" on my plate.
"we noticed there was some flames so we ran inside the cab to get the extinguisher" I know that's where the extinguisher is and all that, but isn't it incredibly dangerous to run back into a burning vehicle?
The extinguisher is in the front by the driver and most likely started on fire near the engine in the back. It wouldn't be dangerous until the entire bus was engulfed.

At least it went out with a bang.
Seems like the bus went KaBOOM.
how long did it take you to think of that one
rip bus
What the hell is a tyre?
I believe it's a Brit term for tire. Kinda like color going to colour, armor to armour, etc.
I don't think people here understand what irony is. It would be ironic if the plate said something opposite of "kaboom".
I don't think people here understand what irony is. It would be ironic if the plate said something opposite of "kaboom".
Yeah. If something is ironic it means that it was the opposite of what would be expected. This isn't irony.
