Army is being sent in
Source please?
The BBC reporter mentioned looting near Tower Bridge.
There's looting there at the moment apparently. [editline]8th August 2011[/editline] Sky are confirming a shooting in Croydon. Stay classy Croydon.
It probably isn't even related to the riots, just another croydon monday
Army is being sent in
I hope there is a Toxx clause on this
There's looting there at the moment apparently.
I know, I've been keeping up to date on the twitters and BBC news. I could actually nip down and get 100% up to date info myself if that wasn't a suicidally insane notion.
I meant to link to this a few minutes ago but I got distracted. https://www.facebook.com/pages/London-Riots-Update-Page Obviously anything on this page needs to be taken with a bag of salt.
Oh wow one of the BBC teams in Croydon got attacked. He was just now talking to him on the phone before he got cut off suddenly. Spooky.
Oh christ, time to start calling my mates..
My relatives in Croydon said to give you guys advice: lock all doors windows the lot, close curtains and get anything you canto defend yourself bbgun ect. and put cardboard on the curtains if your window gets fucked up
Oh wow one of the BBC teams in Croydon got attacked. He was just now talking to him on the phone before he got cut off suddenly. Spooky.
I don't think that's the BBC reporter. I am sure he was on Sky earlier. Maybe not, can't remember.
The accounts the BBC are getting all say that the police that do arrive on the scene are there in such few numbers that theres no way they can control anything.
Times like these, I wish I had a firearm to protect myself.
It appears that some of my friends on facebook have lost their minds and instead of blaming morons that started this one of them quite oddly decided to say they have no idea what's going on then went onto ranting about the government.
I don't think that's the BBC reporter. I am sure he was on Sky earlier. Maybe not, can't remember.
He's got white hair, and i'm watching it on the BBC webstie so I'm sure its him. They got a shop owner on the line who has his shop burned. He said they should just start shooting the looters.
Sums it up This is why I like CupOfTeam. They mostly do comedy but they also do stuff like this
"Send the army in and let them shoot them" No thank you.
Edit
Ah sorry i was misinformed.
Holy shit his arms are skinny. Here's a question, is the failure of the police to contain the riots related in anyway to recent austerity measures passed in Britain?
Mostly because they're spread too thin. There aren't enough police to handle it effectively.
Holy shit his arms are skinny. Here's a question, is the failure of the police to contain the riots related in anyway to recent austerity measures passed in Britain?
There simply arn't enough riot police to control them. All the footage I've seen show the riot police only having enough officers to make 1 short line across the road. ninja'd
"Send the army in and let them shoot them" No thank you.

Here are some things people may comment about: -No, I don't actually want to shoot them all, I'm just really angry.
I think after this they're gonna try and loot westfield.
Holy shit his arms are skinny. Here's a question, is the failure of the police to contain the riots related in anyway to recent austerity measures passed in Britain?
Just not enough people it seems, they are calling in support from 4 police forces (officers from 2, air support from another 2). It seems the fire engines that drove up to the furniture shop had to go away from it because it was too intense to put out. So sad.

Here are some things people may comment about: -No, I don't actually want to shoot them all, I'm just really angry.

That's a bullshit escape clause and you know it.

Well that's better.
im 2 minutes away from ealing broadway. dunno whats gonna happen
Oh it is their reporter in Croydon. I just realised who he was when he said his name, he is one of the BBC London reporters. [editline]8th August 2011[/editline] Photo of the attack on the BBC team in Croydon http://twitpic.com/6355l7 Everyone ok apparently.
I think after this they're gonna try and loot westfield.
Don't worry bro you'll be alright. Add me on steam and we'll chat if you want. Clip from the Sky news reporter that was in Clapham before the broadcast team turned up it seems.
The BBC's reporter team in Croydon have just gotten out of there. They said they saw a couple police vans going into Croydon on their way out but nothing bigger than that. They also mention 'Shopowners trying in vain to protect their shops'.
im 2 minutes away from ealing broadway. dunno whats gonna happen
Wow you live close to me, FP looting meetup? joke.
When will they send in the army?
