"Stop being offended" You act like people have a choice in the matter [editline]23rd November 2014[/editline] I'm sorry, but "go grow a pair" isn't always the answer
I'm sorry, but "go grow a pair" isn't always the answer
Nor is enforcing legal action a proper reaction to offensive material.

I wish everything that offended me was illegal, now that would be a world to live in.
Because your rights end where muh feelings begin.
This guy "I have a friend in Uk and he says he's under siege!!!" "all Muslims kill people guyssss" Lmao
Not as bad as the time a guy in my hometown was slammed with the same charges for comparing a muslim prayer to a goat with a stomach ache on facebook. Source, its a few months old. Actually it was donkey with a tummyache, but that's irrelevant http://www.sn.se/nyheter/nykoping/1.2572617 swedish source
That's actually hilarious
Hate speech isn't just opinions, it's hate speech. sure, this tshirt might not be the worst example of hate speech in action, but where do you draw the line exactly? I don't find this t-shirt to be acceptable in the slightest, and also the person persecuted will probably only get a fine. Whatever.
I think it's pretty important to keep in mind that Islam, or any religion, isn't a "race" in any way. It's not like he walked around with a T-Shirt saying "People from Asia/South America/whatever should die", he simply expressed his dislike of a belief-system. And that's what Islam is, a belief, and in some ways, a political system. There are people born in Northwestern Europe who are muslims, and in the same way, there are middle-eastern christians, jews, and atheists. Imagine that we're back in the 1970's, and someone walks around with a shirt that says "Communism is the devil". Does "OHMYGOD THINK ABOUT THE POOR RUSSIANS, YOU'RE UNDER ARREST" really seem like a rational response to you? You're mixing up the system with the people that happen to live in a location where such a system is largely in place. And in my opinion, that is what's actually racist.
Lol you guys support Sweden? they are actively trying to kill their culture and heritage. Sweden, Yes.
Muh feels again. Discrimination and insulting are not the same. Stop being offended by shirts.
do you not find it at least a little eerie and uncomfortable in a society where muslims are frequent targets of violence and legal marginalization i mean shit, i'm in favor of free speech, but you need to look at things in context and consider why this action might have been taken
Because your rights end where muh feelings begin.
legitimate question: do you have problems functioning around people irl.
according to facepunch i can just happily say black people are the devil
lol nice generalization there. "CLEARLY ALL MUSLIMS ARE APART OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION!" Islam is the religion, muslims are the people. There are muslim people out there who are not apart of Islam. It's funny because had someone wore a "Christianity is the devil" shirt, you wouldn't bat an eye.

Saying there are muslims that arent part of islam is saying there are jews that aren't a part of judaism

Muslim literally means "follower of Islam".
Saying there are muslims that arent part of islam is saying there are jews that aren't a part of judaism
No, that would actually be true because the Jewish are an ethnic group as well.
To be fair, lots of Islamic people tend to have little protests portraying boards saying things like "christianity is evil" "we spit on your troops" "western soldiers are murderers" etc I don't see why what this man is doing (probably not making a scene either) is considered any different
Not in Sweden. If they did it in Sweden they would be taken in too.
Saying there are muslims that arent part of islam is saying there are jews that aren't a part of judaism
many jews are atheist
Lol you guys support Sweden? they are actively trying to kill their culture and heritage.
Not really. Our government is trying to create a very diverse society, in which anyone can live and prosper, without any regard to their beliefs and/or culture, as long as said things doesn't intrude on the rights and freedoms of others. Basically a kind of hub where anyone from any part of the globe can come to use their knowledge and skills and live in harmony. To me, this is basically, at least partially, the prime example of an utopia. The big question is whether or not it actually works. For example, to some people who come here, a system like that is basically blasphemy, and it's either the way of sharia, or no way at all. At the same time, our government is trying to implement it in very weird and inefficient ways, while not drawing any clear lines between what is okay and what is obviously not
To me, this is basically, at least partially, the prime example of an utopia. The big question is whether or not it actually works.
Is it a good idea to be conducting such experiments on this scale?
Is it a good idea to be conducting such experiments on this scale?
Nope.
Is it a good idea to be conducting such experiments on this scale?
We'll find out in the next 50 years!
Maybe he just wore a misprinted basketball shirt "I SLAM THE DEVIL"
This makes me very angry. To talk shit about religion is not a hate crime and there is nothing wrong with disliking a religion. Religion is not something you are born with, it is a choice, an opinion. If I dislike someones idea or opinion I am allowed to say that it is a stupid idea, so why can't I do the same with a religion? They are basically censoring his opinion of something. If this becomes common practice in Sweden I am leaving.
