Atleast he died and was happy.
Happy? Have you ever played LoL with a Pick Up group? It's anything but happy
I don't get how some people can play a game for so many hours. I get bored after playing a game after about 2 hours.
Another reason not to play LoL. People dying from gaming marathons is surprisingly not that rare.
Without pointing fingers at anyone, League of Legends Taiwan was having a 400% bonus IP event for a couple of days during the wee hours.
well now it all makes sense! [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline]
Damn his mouse and keyboard position must have been so tight, even when they laid down his body he was still in it.
hahahah he died playing a bad game
hahaha i post like a typical basement dweller and i hate everything that the mean people at my school like
Sounds about right, sitting on your ass all day isn't good for you obviously. Sitting down restricts the blood-flow which can cause clots if done for an extremely long time.
Claims Xbox did it, but LoL is a PC game
"omg another noob afker" guaranteed response from his teammates.
i spend like everyday on the computer and this makes me paranoid as fuck [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline] im literally doing stretches as i type this
He had heart issues. I also can't fathom why people think this is so funny.
Claims Xbox did it, but LoL is a PC game
you obviously didn't read the article
heart attack joke
Ow my heart
people die of heart attacks quite often in the winter here in taiwan. Around chinese new year you'd hear about one ambulance per day. [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline] ironically it's not even that cold
People die watching TV for too long when combining fatigue, heart condition, lack of movement and cold weather. I think you'll die regardless of what you're doing.
That's obviously true. But gaming has shown to stimulate the brain in ways that mirror drug addiction. Some people don't know moderation and take it to the extreme. Video games are just one common factor.
I couldn't play any game for more than 5 hours, let alone 23, still a terrible way to die
That's really, really disturbing. And depressing. They really do need cutoff timers.
You definitely need something more than cutoff timers if you're playing that excessively. You need to sort out your shit, mostly. Like, playing video games is fine and all, loads of people do it. It's a leisure activity. That's cool, do it in your spare time all you want. If it's taking priority over important aspects of your life though like, you know, being alive for example, you've fucked up.
I get gaming fatigue after playing a single game for more than 4-5 hours how do they do this

[editline]3rd February 2012[/editline] ironically it's not even that cold
Why? Is there some factor causing unusually high heart attacks in Taiwan?
23 hours. 23 years old. Died on 2/3. :tinfoil:

I never hear about anyone outside of the Asian community dying by playing games. Unless they're stabbing each other over a copy of Modern Warfare.
I agree with both of you, but the LAN cafes need to do something, even a thing as small as cutoff timers, that might possibly stop deaths from over-gaming. Maybe he might realise that he needs to get his shit together. Anything is better than nothing.
well now it all makes sense! [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline] it's called rigor mortis unless you were just making a terrible joke
I've always thought that sounds cool. Rigor mortis...
actually no he was probably raging
Ultimate Ragequit.
I feel absolutely fucking terrible for laughing at this... But damn, only 23 hours? What did he not eat or drink at ALL or something? I'm just dying to know.
Got solo-ganked by Sona, died as fed Gangplank. And so he died. if he had his oranges though, he'd be k
it begins new WoW >_<
Now we wait for someone to blame his death on video games.
His dad said in the article that he doesn't blame video games/video game consoles, though. At least he died doing what he loved.
Vladimir strikes again.
This is why if I know I'm going to be playing games all day, like if the weather is shit, I make sure to go on my treadmill or something for 45 minutes at the very least.
well now it all makes sense! [editline]3rd February 2012[/editline] it's called rigor mortis unless you were just making a terrible joke
Rigor Mortis takes 3+ hours to set in. That's not the reason why his hands are like that. *Edit* Nevermind you were close enough, it's something called cadaveric spasm at the moment of death
