A crew member on a Caribbean cruise ship died while working on an elevator, the company said.Passengers aboard the Carnival Ecstasy witnessed part of the horrifying incident Sunday evening in which blood poured down the front of the elevator. Matt Davis and his wife were on their way to dinner when they came across the gory scene. “To look and see the elevator with just blood coming down like a sheet, and not stopping … it was a real life scene of ‘The Shining,'” Davis told CNN affiliate WFTX, referring to the 1980 horror movie. As the couple looked on aghast at the flowing blood, which they said sounded like a rainstorm, a crew member was trying to usher people back inside the restaurant.
Source: http://kfor.com/2015/12/31/couple-shows-video-of-bloody-mystery-on-carnival-cruise-ship/

I would have loved to see that (User was banned for this post ("what is wrong with you" - Orkel))
Jesus christ Fox that's pretty fucking graphic.
Absolutely horrifying.
Jesus christ Fox that's pretty fucking graphic.
remember : no sex ever on TV - but the blood of someone dripping down elevator doors on daytime TV? yeah that shit's cool
Death by heavy machinery makes my skin crawl.
Jesus christ Fox that's pretty fucking graphic.
How many times does this have to be said: This isn't "the" Fox news. It's a local affiliate station
What I don't get is... why the hell is the entire news story about some people who saw a small glimpse of the aftermath and not the poor fucking guy who got killed or even just the incident itself? I mean, what's a few people seeing a bit of blood compared to the death of a person? I really don't understand the tone they are going for... how horrible that some electricians gruesome death inconvenienced a bunch of guests? What about 'how horrible that an electrician died a gruesome death'?

Holy fuck that's a lot of blood, I'd figure that wasn't just an accident.
Holy fuck that's a lot of blood, I'd figure that wasn't just an accident.
???? ??????????????????? [editline]31st December 2015[/editline] please elaborate i'm curious
???? ??????????????????? [editline]31st December 2015[/editline] please elaborate i'm curious
the amount of blood is directly proportional to whether or not it's an accidental death, duh
I would have loved to see that
a guy died and your response is "heh................... epic"
I would have loved to see that
A guy getting crushed by an elevator?
Nah, this is way more like the hacker guy dying in Mission Impossible than The Shining.
I would have loved to see that
sometimes I'm glad the internet exists to distract people like you from the real world
Its weird they would put this on local news, thats extremely fucking graphic. But yeah, I think a lot of people underestimate just how much blood can pour out of people. That has to be a real fucked up accident for that much blood though, I am guessing something got severed, like an arm or a head.
Yea, there is a lot of blood in a person, about 1.25 gallons.
I would have loved to see that
There's some shrinks that would love to see you.
I would have loved to see that
What would you do if the opportunity presented itself; attempt to help/save me from dying to some bloody accident, or watch me die?
I'm guessing he was on top of the elevator and got crushed against the roof of the shaft. You can make most elevators go up and down from a box there by using a special tool I don't know the name for in English, I've done it myself a few times.
Arent elevators generally designed to have a space above the rails they sit in that they simply cannot go into?
I feel like space is at an absolute premium on cruise ships so some things may have differing designs.
the amount of blood is directly proportional to whether or not it's an accidental death, duh
Murder the shit out of someone and be rewarded with loadsablood?
I feel like space is at an absolute premium on cruise ships so some things may have differing designs.
There's probably no space between the top of the elevator and the top of the shaft. Ships aren't subject to building codes (there are rules to follow when building ships but I mean actual building codes, like for buildings) so nothing like that would require one and not having that space leaves more space for something else above it.
Absolutely disgusting. Whatever happened it was probably a horrible way to go, and whoever was in charge of cleanup / going in to find what happened and what was left would be so uncomfortable. No good.
