If they do not have an education and do not have working skills they should. not. be. here. We have ENOUGH of those as it is. We have TOO MANY people with little to no education and little to no skills WITHOUT illegal immigrants who also fit that description making it worse. Also, you can work legally in the states while getting citizenship. Same goes for education. My aunt-by-marriage lived in the United States for upwards of 30 years on a green card with working visas working at Disney and getting a college degree. She was educated before she came here, she came over as an international exchange student and decided to stay.
Immigrants set up businesses, too. They do so at a significantly higher rate than citizens, in fact. I recall something like 15% of startups are by immigrants, with immigrants being roughly 10% of the population. Also, if being unskilled means you Should. Not. Be. Here. Should we kick out unskilled adult citizens?
worthless people
What a charmer
Why. What gives someone born in America born more rights than someone born somewhere else. Why should someone be given a free ride into America just because they happened to be born here. Legally immigrating is a very long and hard process that is not possible for many people who want to live in or work in America.
The fundamental issue with your rhetorical questions is that they're thinking too broadly (see: philosophically). Birthright citizenship and the preference of US citizens in US law has nothing to do with who is more worthy and who is less worthy as a person.
8 U.S.C. § 1325
Title 8, Chapter 12, Subchapter II, Part VIII details penalty provisions, not definitions. [editline]8th May 2012[/editline]
But you get automatic citizenship
I'm on the illegal immigrant side FYI.
No but my point is that if they weren't here in the first place they'd have to hire Americans.
Yeah, except that's never happened anywhere with a free market that has reduced immigration before.
If they do not have an education and do not have working skills they should. not. be. here.
And who the fuck are you to dictate that? Who are you to lay down such arbitrary rules as to who does and does not contribute? What do YOU do for a living? What have YOU done to earn your citizenship?
And who the fuck are you to dictate that? Who are you to lay down such arbitrary rules as to who does and does not contribute? What do YOU do for a living? What have YOU done to earn your citizenship?
Well, he pays taxes, he earns an honest living and is a US citizen. Millions of people immigrate here legally. And he's not dictating anything. He is referring to the law, as you have been told over and over.
But you get automatic citizenship
Yeah, people seem to forget this. We are one of the few nations that possess BRC, so naturally, we do have a lean toward "birthrights".
Well, he pays taxes, he earns an honest living and is a US citizen. Millions of people immigrate here legally.
Really? Prove it. I think he should prove it or be deported. I think he should EARN his place in this great nation, and not simply leech off of it.
Well, he pays taxes, he earns an honest living and is a US citizen. Millions of people immigrate here legally.
How do you know he pays taxes, earns an honest living, or is even a US citizen? Other than the citizen part, illegal immigrants can do all that. If it weren't so damn hard to immigrant legally, they would do all of it, and probably more consistently than native citizens.
Really? Prove it. I think he should prove it or be deported. I think he should EARN his place in this great nation, and not simply leech off of it.
Prove he's leeching.
How do you know he pays taxes, earns an honest living, or is even a US citizen?
He's 20. What the fuck is he doing right now that's so valuable to America? [editline]8th May 2012[/editline]
Prove he's leeching.
He's stealing our jobs, not paying taxes, and he shouldn't have a driver's license. Whatever Micky Dees job or undergrad course he's engaged in right now was stolen from a valuable, hard-working, true American.
Yeah and startups fail like fucking crazy too, so they're not really doing us a big favour. We can't kick out unskilled adult citizens but we should at least force them to GET skilled.
Well, he pays taxes, he earns an honest living and is a US citizen. Millions of people immigrate here legally. And he's not dictating anything. He is referring to the law, as you have been told over and over.
After dismissing unskilled people as 'worthless' I'm also pretty sure he's a sociopath
What a charmer
In today's society when it comes to business someone's worth is measured by their education and skill. If you have neither then your worth is zero.
Yeah and startups fail like fucking crazy too, so they're not really doing us a big favour. We can't kick out unskilled adult citizens but we should at least force them to GET skilled.
And what are your skills? Again. What have you done to earn your citizenship?
Yeah and startups fail like fucking crazy too, so they're not really doing us a big favour. We can't kick out unskilled adult citizens but we should at least force them to GET skilled.
I think you need more experience with how the world actually works before you get close to a voting booth. Please, for the sake of all of us.
Harming legal citizens by committing crime, not paying taxes, contributing to large slum areas, having children and keeping them out of education to live a life of crime, working illegally
That isn't a symptom of coming here illegally, that's just correlation. And they don't pay taxes, but they don't receive any benefit from the state, either. Well, that's not true, pretty much everything that is done with the tax payers' money is a benefit. Buses, for example, you still have to pay for them but the reason they cost what they do is because they had money besides fares to use.
And who the fuck are you to dictate that? Who are you to lay down such arbitrary rules as to who does and does not contribute? What do YOU do for a living? What have YOU done to earn your citizenship?
Who the fuck are YOU to dictate what YOU'RE doing? Who are you to dictate what our GOVERNMENT should do? If you're going to use fucking arguments like that apply them to yourself as well and then shut the fuck up, or don't use them. What do I do? I work IT. I help people fix their computers and electronics. I am also going to university where I am getting a degree in pathology so I can help research cures for viruses and disease. What the fuck do YOU do
In today's society when it comes to business someone's worth is measured by their education and skill. If you have neither then your worth is zero.
Then why don't we just take the unskilled workers and illegal immigrants from over here. And chop them up into food to provide nutrients for our many skilled workers and legal immigrants.
Title 8, Chapter 12, Subchapter II, Part VIII details penalty provisions, not definitions.
Yes, and this defines the illegal behaviour:
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both...
If you want to play the definition game, though, fine: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1101
(3) The term “alien” means any person not a citizen or national of the United States.
Alien is defined (and I'm sure there is a more specific specification further down, but I don't feel like reading that shit (Cornell needs better bullet spacing)) there and then the illegal activities that deem them to be unlawful are defined in the aforementioned section.
Who the fuck are YOU to dictate what YOU'RE doing? Who are you to dictate what our GOVERNMENT should do? What the fuck do YOU do
I don't have to prove shit. I'm not the one saying unskilled workers don't belong here. And what are your credentials? 20 years old, you can't have more than an associate's degree. You work "IT?" So you sit behind a desk and tell people to turn their computers on and off? Fucking please. You're worthless. You don't belong in this country.
Who the fuck are YOU to dictate what YOU'RE doing? Who are you to dictate what our GOVERNMENT should do? What the fuck do YOU do
You working at IT doesn't qualify as a valuable skill. You would be denied citizenship to the United States if you were an immigrant.

What the fuck do YOU do
He's being egalitarian, you are arguing for the privileged status of people born in the US and you need to justify it
He's 20. What the fuck is he doing right now that's so valuable to America? Whatever Micky Dees job or undergrad course he's engaged in right now was stolen from a valuable, hard-working, true American.
I'm 20. I help people process traffic tickets. I provide a service of convenience. is it needed? No. It is desired. But it pays money and its something I'm comfortable doing as I move up the chain. This entire thread has gone to shit. It's posting shit so fast that nobody seems to have noticed the dramatic reading of the Preamble by Kirk that I posted a page ago. There is no right answer to this, thats why we have a system where it is debated and challenged constantly. Even if everyone in THIS generation agrees on it, give it a generation, and the law will be challenged again, and the cycle continues.
Yes, and this defines the illegal behaviour: If you want to play the definition game, though, fine: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1101 Alien is defined (and I'm sure there is a more specific specification further down, but I don't feel like reading that shit (Cornell needs better bullet spacing)) there and then the illegal activities that deem them to be unlawful are defined in the aforementioned section.
Now find me the part upon which this was 'paraphrased':
Why the fuck should someone who ISN'T supposed to be here get identification and a job when there are millions of US CITIZENS, who should COME FIRST, that don't have either?
(if you don't want to, that's fine. You took up the banner for Faze, who refused to do so.)
And what are your credentials? 20 years old, you can't have more than an associate's degree. You work "IT?" You don't belong in this country.
IT's something you can outsource to India with one in-house technician. He's probably consuming far more than he's worth on the free market in wages, and is a definite blemish on our economy.
I don't have to prove shit. I'm not the one saying unskilled workers don't belong here. You're on the side of illegal immigrants. PROVE that YOU aren't a fucking illegal. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Jaanus))

I pay 3000 out of every paycheck to uncle sam. I'd love to hear more about you and what gives you the right to come in here flaming everybody.
also right now the shortage of jobs occurs in the higher-paying markets, the lower and extremely low paying jobs are over-saturated with open places but they don't pay enough for a lot of americans to survive on, that is what increased the demand for illegal immigration. either illegal immigrants do these jobs or they get outsourced.
