Hey guys, I thought I'd ask you specifically since your all pretty cool doods and I need feedback for a college assignment Basically, since october I have been working on a magazine, the magazine is all funded and produced by students at my college, a group of 20 of us have to produce a full magazine, and the deadline is April. Some of us were split between design while others were editorial. I was put into a head editorial role whilst also being the magazines house photographer (which I was pretty happy with), I have so far designed 1 article, written about 3 and took photos for essentially every article (which my lecturers were pretty happy with since it meant that we wouldn't have to source 1000s of photos) as a few of you know I have shot loadsa gigs these past few months, some being Walk the Moon, Real Lies, The Hoosier, Clean Cut Kid and The Stone Foxes. All I ask is that you guys give me some formative feedback, criticism or praising, just need some form of feedback on my images and work on the magazine. If ya'll get any time spare, could you review some images if I put them all onto a single album on flickr?
ye
lol no fucking way did I get the last post i didnt even realize, I thought Kirbs broke the thread :v: I'll get an album done in the next few hours then, just writing up a production log atm
So my camera as come in and it is amazing, until about 20 minutes ago. The LCD screen on the back went from working perfectly fine to a black line here or there to nothing now. Im using Panasonic Lithium CR123A 3v batteries and i'm wondering if they are the cause or should I send the camera back? The camera is a Fujifilm GA645zi. I'd hate to send it back since it seems like it works every other way besides the screen. The seller also send me a thank you letter and Japanese tea which was super nice. Here what it looked like before it went blank. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/WBl3baB.jpg[/img_thumb]

But first make sure you are using fresh batteries so you can rule out bad batteries. If problems persist get in contact with the seller ASAP and arrange a return.

So im not worried about that, I just want to use my new camera :(

damn if I saw that title before I bought my new cam, I would've bought an RX100iii but oh well
Hey guys, I'm completely new to this but I want to buy a camera/lenses specifically for shooting youtube videos and maybe a little car photography. I'm completely new to this and have no idea where to begin looking for the information I need about the camera equipment. I'm not above buying used, and I have no problem with being pointed in the right direction to do my own research. Any help is highly appreciated as I am beginning the process of planning out this channel which you are more than welcome to ask about in PMs because it's not related to the thread at all. Thanks guys.

Thanks guys.
I don't mean to sound like a parody, but the a5100 and a6000 offer great image quality for the price. The video quality is great because of the video codec, just make sure you've got a decent computer to edit the footage. If you are planning on doing YouTube stuff, something with a Microphone input might be important (a6000 only takes proprietary mics, a5100 doesn't at all) as well as good battery life. I'd try and get something with a swivel screen too, to make recording a bit more ergonomic. I've heard good things about Canon Rebels (most have mic inputs and will have better battery life), just some ideas worth looking into or comparing
So here's an oddball question for you all, looking more towards the vintage camera folks/japanese posters. I've got myself a mint condition Kodamatic Champ that originally took HS144-10 Instant Film. Those who care at all about non-polaroid instant film would know that stuff got discontinued after a lawsuit by panasonic where kodak payed them just under a billion dollars. now im searching every avenue for some Fujifilm FI-800gt which i know you can modify to fit this camera, but that got discontinued in 2010. Does anyone happen to have any of this film that they'd part ways with/know a good japanese auction site that might still have this film? I'd really like to get a couple of good shots out of this camera before I put her in a display case (i know its a cheapy camera, but it's got such a killer look to it and like I said it's in mint condition all things considered, no wear on it and there's no sun damage. someone clearly put this away right after the lawsuit) crosspost from the creative photography thread
dang whats good dudes

I can't say what happened to it, but mine did have film in it when I used it. The photos came out entirely black, the chemicals in the film did not last it seems. I used the film as bookmarks, they printed more like gloss film, it didn't have paper borders like Polaroid. I don't think you'll find film for it, if my experience is anything to go by the film itself just isn't good anymore
sorry Trog, I turned to the dark side. I bought a Fuji

God damn, I can pick up a Black Rapid Metro for $30AU (So about $22usd) on clearance, but I'm not sure it's big enough for my camera (650d + 24-105 F4L) The next size up is the Curve, about $110AU since it's not on sale :v: Think I should jump on it or hold off and get something better? kinda want to ditch the stock strap since I never use it properly
well i mean i used a peak design leash on a 6D + 35 f/2 + 580EX
Eh fuck it, bought it. If it turns out shit, I can always sell it to someone, they're worth over double this retail :v:
