• [SFM] Meet the Comics

 • With the release of the Source Filmmaker, and the last of the Meet the Team films completed, I decided that this would be a fun project. Making a Meet the Team-esque version of all of the comics. With this in mind, I was wondering if the community would like to help me out. There are quite a few models that are already useable, but some characters are not created. Not only that, but custom characters need to have edited Phoneme Tables so the Auto-Lipsync can be used. That is where I'd like the community to help. I'll be using "The Beard"'s narrations of the comics for the audio. Here is a little check-list I have. My current priority is creating "Loose Cannon". In order to do this, I just need Phoneme Tables for the Administrator and Radigan Conagher, and maybe a model for the old women. If the old women model can't be made, I will use an old women from HL2 if I can find one. If anyone wants to help me with those Phoneme Tables, just post it here. If not, I can fix them myself, though I would appreciate the help! No actual body movement, but that will be fixed in the final version.
 •
This is actually a really good idea.
Thanks. What I am worried about is whether or not Radigan Conagher has actual face posing. I'm not sure if the one I have is the current one or not. That is a problem. For Redmond and Blutarch though, I have a simple fix. Instead of making new models, I have a skin that gives the Spy new colors for his suit and maskless, including a mustache like Redmond and Blutarch. I now am using the new Stylish Spy mod to give them open suits to show their little undersuit. I just need to recolor it a little bit and give them the Backbiters Billycock and they will become Radigan and Blutarch! As for the one I'd like to work on after this, I think either Meet the Director or The Smissmas Story, since we have models for Old Nick, the Director, and Miss Pauling. The one problem about doing the Smissmas comic is the lack of civilian models, and I can't model, so Meet the Director may be coming next, unless people that wanna model can do that. If they do want to, try and put the characters on skeletons that can sync with other characters animation files, like maybe giving the father the Soldiers skeleton so he can use his animations. I am currently working on another test lip sync for Blutarch, that may be up soon.
 • Just a small update, I have completed the scene where Blutarch explains to Radigan the history of his battle with Redmond. I just need to edit in a photograph of the old team and then render the entire thing and that scene will be done! [editline]16th July 2012[/editline] Alright here is the scene showing Blutarch explaining to Radigan Conagher why he needs his help. Created in about 2 hours in Windows Live Movie Maker and Source Filmmaker, probably more if you count rendering and such, but what do you guys think? • Screw you Automerge! If this doesn't auto merge, any opinions on what I have so far? Or should I start the next part?
 • Someone should make Meet the Director. Their is already a comic for it, so story line should be very easy. I would but I need a voice actor for the Director. I already have the model so it would be cool.

 •
I am doing that, most likely after I finish Loose Cannon
I'll help you anyway I can, I'm adding you on steam. the name'll be Toasty
 • I was actually thinking of doing the scenes from Meet the Director where he meets the different classes using the audio from here Though i'm still pretty new to SFM, it could take some time, so anyone else could have a go at this as well

I mean, it's great for a draft, but some lines would need to be re-recorded due to mic quality and overlapping music. I can possibly coerce my friends into providing voices for Miss Pauling. This'll be fun.

The thing that is my priority is getting Phoneme Maps for Radigan Conagher and the Announcer. For the next video I'll need Mrs. Pauling and Directors Phoneme Maps. So if anyone would like to fix there Phoneme Maps, that would be great!

I need some modelers / riggers to help me with this.
 • after completing the farmhouse map, I'm going to make this house. looks simple enough

Especially the Director, imo
 •
Voice acting definitely needs some work. Especially the Director, imo
VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
 •
I would but I need a voice actor for the Director.
Max! :buddy:
 • Id record myself doing a scene, I dont think my voice is right because its my voice and im too use to it (obviously) but i will upload it and see if anyone thinks it will work. I will do one in my own voice, and then do one with a slight french accent, not full but slight. like: If you could pick one vord zoo describe yourself Mister Mundy, vat vould it be?
 •
I can possibly coerce my friends into providing voices for Miss Pauling.
I'd be interested in voicing Miss Pauling, actually. I'll record and upload her lines from MTD so y'all can tell me whether or not my voice is good enough. LOL
 • If you need voice work, I'm definitely up to help. You can hear me on the Tip of the Day videos I've done; I'm also a semi-professional voice artist (trying to go full-time pro) and audiobook narrator. I have the right equipment and gear to produce dry or wet vocal tracks.

 • I'd love to help however I can. I'm not sure my voice is good enough, but I can tweak around with whatever.
 • This sounds amazing. I do have a question. Would anyone like to help me collect some motion capture data? You would need a Kinect and something to gather the MoCap info, but then we could use that in the project. So far, I love how people are reacting to this. Even if I have to do the Faceposing manually, this will be done! Everyone that would want to voice act, just get some demos up, and we can get started!
 • Check out my Tip of the Day videos to hear my voice; I can also send you samples of my professional work if you like. I have 2 Kinects here at home, but the mocap software is awfully expensive. I'm considering saving up the scratch for it but that's months away.

You need Blender to use it, but I think you just need to save the dmx of the Mocap from there. http://dm.tzi.de/bloop/
