  • After seeing people make Sniper Elite style slow mo sniper videos using the whole bullet + casing, I decided to make my own bullet model. Here's a video showing it in action. The model is just named "bullet" and is in the root model directory.

  • Hope you don't mind, but I made my own. [img]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/49917/models/bullet_promo_01.png[/img] I used the texture map they use for the bullet the heavy holds in his video, and set it up so the bullet, and casings are separate from eachother, but the casings have a socket bone you can lock, and then zero the bullet onto, and it'll act like a single model. I also bumped up the model poly count a bit. I'm a bit tired, so I'll be uploading it tomorrow.

It is dark by nature allowing you to set up your own lighting. The area outside the windows is 'hollow' giving you a spot to put a light if you want it to shine through the blinds, see 2nd screenshot. Rooms are bare to allow you to set up scenes however you want, and you can animate the doors in the Animation Set Editor. Yeah, it's simple, but, whatever, it's gonna be useful for an upcoming short of mine, figured maybe somebody else would get use out of it as well. You can already bring in stuff from other source games if you import them properly, and people will be making more content for SFM as time goes on. I don't think Valve are planning on releasing a whole lot of content for SFM themselves, beyond releasing Meet the Team scenes and their assets.

If the map hasn't been compiled with HDR, you can't adjust the tonemapscaling. Thing is though, my map has... SFM doesn't like anything but ctf!![/QUOTE] as well - recompile with HDR. I can tell in the video that the lighting is very washed out, this will be remedied by an HDR compilation. I also suggest you UnlitGeneric the greenscreen material for more exact isolation in post-processing. ...unless you're not the one who made this, in which case, forget it :V And the SFM can load any map just put it into usermod/maps and it'll load fine Besides we could just use the greenscreen stuff in the OP
