at least dashcon had a ballpit
I know that you're joking but fucking hell at least Dashcon accommodated for food, water, and shelter
At least the wildfire of whatever the hell's going on lives up to the name of the festival.
Shit, where can I get a sandwich like that for $5?
bbq bahn mi are about that size and usually go for $5
I know that you're joking but fucking hell at least Dashcon accommodated for food, water, and shelter
And Dashcon attendees always had the option to just walk out and leave, good luck doing that on an island.
How laughable.
Would they be eligible to be sued or compensate the attendees in someway given how huge of a risk this whole disaster has been?
Would they be eligible to be sued or compensate the attendees in someway given how huge of a risk this whole disaster has been?
I am pretty sure the attendees are going to sue them for this mess.
Paid for a once in a lifetime musical experience on a tropical island, got a once in a lifetime beginning-of-the-post-apocalypse experience instead. Beautiful. I'm most worried about that reddit dude though

I'm most worried about that reddit dude though
well as it's been pointed out several times in this thread that is apparantly a troll.
All this for blink 182 lmfao My brother used to be obsessed then he went to one blink show and never spoke of them again because they apparently suck hard
Ftfy What a mess. I hope these people get their money back. Why anyone would pay so much money to see any amount of these b-list artists is beyond me. For a fraction of that ticket price you can get VIP tickets to some majorly huge bands
Rich people spending several thousand dollars only to be stuck in camps, starving and dehydrated, to then be forcefully sent back to the country they came from. It's like poetry, it's the death of the millennial dream, a rude awakening to let them know what life is like in the third world. Apparently the island wasn't even private, this is a scam from beginning to end.
The head of the festival did an interview with Rolling Stone. So apparently Seth Rogen and the Lonely Island are to this what Charlie Booker was to the whole pig scandal.

This name and their names have been poisoned by this event. The fucking lawsuits which are gonna stem from this will severely halt any attempt to redo this event next year And even if they did do next year, would anyone show up and how can you really trust them? This also cements a great case to never trust popular Instagrammers and Twitter users when they advertise products. Paid endorsements normally always turn out like shit, this is another shining example of such
The trust fund kiddies and fortune heirs can just take daddies private plane out or charter their own, all the people that are eating shit right now probably aren't rich. I'd like to see all of the neckbeards on /pol/ go through this, they probably couldn't walk their fat asses to the airport
They wouldn't go through with it because most of them are smart enough not to spend $1,200-$12,000 on a foreign island music festival with no reputation.
They wouldn't go through with it because most of them are smart enough not to spend $1,200-$12,000 on a foreign island music festival with no reputation.
My mother owns a used car lot and I've seen kids buy a car, total it, come back within the week and buy another, total payments equalling more than $12,000
My mother owns a used car lot and I've seen kids buy a car, total it, come back within the week and buy another, total payments equalling more than $12,000
yea rich kids tend to be reckless with their money, thats my point.
What if the whole thing is an elaborate commentary by introducing privileged people to refugee-like conditions calling it: most mind-blowing social experiment of 2017 (gone wrong)
Except the idiots who bought tickets for this are most likely idiots who can't afford it rather than spoiled kids who can. The poor like to show off while the rich actually are financially conscious. Rich people come in and buy $2000 cars for commute while 18 year old kids /pathetic dirtbag adults with no job try to come in and try to finance a $10,000 car. The whole world is this way

Damn this is crazy, I remember seeing a shot ton of ads for this festival on facebook and instagram. Guess this is why you don't go to the first year of a new festival.
Apparently the majority of people who attended the event aren't loaded, they saved up.
Apparently Ja Rule donated the money made to charity https://www.instagram.com/p/BTXS5yXjsYt/?hl=en
sorta reminds me of how people call the rolling stones' free altamont concert the end of the hippy era
I think a tv series called "The Sixties" covered that pretty well also, who thought hiring biker gangs for security would end well
