Oddly enough this thing had been floating around /x/ for months and I thought it was a load of overhyped BS that ends up on 4chan from time to time.
this is not good advice.
my apologises, snipped
scars are now hot apparently
There have been games on the internet loke this for a while now. A lot of them tell you to essentially torture yourself until you snap, and gullible kids fall for it and end up with psychological issues
Oh fuck I just realised someone I know is doing this shit, he showed me that he had made a series of cuts on his arm and mentioned that he was doing a challenge. He also kept talking about offing himself for weeks what do I do oh shit
Inform responsible adults. The police. His school. Something. Seriously man, someone you know might take their own life.
A person that is in that place can be very fucking determined about going through with it. Sometimes just talking with them isn't enough.
To add onto the above poster if they start self harming and you see cuts, call the cops and have the person put on a psychiatric hold.
Can't take this shit seriously with the 4.20am. It does seem that combination of self-depreciation, social attention, peer pressure and (cyber)bully pushes peeps into doing this.
Idiots! The only winning move is not to play!
Wow nothing funnier than children being pressured into killing themselves. 73 funnies. Another great moment in facepunch's history
sounds like emo culture is finally making it's way to russia
It already was in there in 2008.
Right now "ironic" is new hot topic.
I imagine this blue whale is just the jigsaw guy in a costume. Telling people random shit and earning money from the ad revenue.
It came onto the Western internet? The RuNet (russkies) had this shit started in their FB-equivalent since September.
Oh yea, this dumb shit.
Some kid smeared his brains all over the sidewalk over this a few days ago.
I seriously pictured some kid just taking his Brain and smearing it over the floor.
The game is just feeding off the hype it's being given, I doubt there were even that many "curators" or players before it made the news and started spreading. Parents who couldn't or didn't prevent their kids from hurting themselves or didn't notice their childs mental problems can just blame the game.
Why do they need to do all of this stupid ass tasks when they could just take the quickest route by killing their own interests in suicide and talk to a health care professional?
Because people are calculating, systematic and always logical. They always consider every choice, weighing the pros and cons of each before making a decision, always taking into account every possibility. Never making decisions based on emotion or being unaware of certain choices.
i saw an analysis of this a lil while back if anyone wants a quick rundown
it's pretty crazy and honestly still a bit hard to believe (or at least comprehend, i suppose), it sounds like a charlie brooker story
I wanted to believe this was just a stupid 4chan joke that got out of hand like #cut4beiber, but after reading and watching the stuff in this thread I think I need a hug.
Its like the internet-adapted version of a suicide cult

teach us how to be as morally advanced as you are pls
Climb up a crane or at least try to do it
Well That explains that dumb girl in my city that climbed a crane last week.
This and "13 Reasons Why" could motivate children and teenagers to adopt/acquire suicidal tendencies? We like it or not: at a younger age one if more influenciable (or stupid) and peer-pressure can be quite effective and doing stuff you don't want.
I don't see how 13 reasons why would ever motivate someone to suicide. That was incredibly well made and didn't glorify anything.
Not to mention high schoolers have been reading the book for a long time without any issues - and teachers recommending reading it.
is this how shit life is in eastern european countries that we have shit like russian roulette and now this
Im getting cut4bieber vibes from this.
report it to kiwi
surely he will ban everyone who dont abide by the new ratings rule (lmao)
New ratings rule?
teach us how to be as morally advanced as you are pls
There's nothing to teach, it's supposed to come naturally pal.
You're not special because you don't see why this isn't funny. That's not something to be proud of, at all
New ratings rule?
Just reread the Sensationalist Headlines rules, they updated the Ratings section.
These have been re-enabled in this forum. I expect you to use them appropriately and be sensible. If you rate a school shooting as "funny" like some kind of 12 year old edge lord, you are going to be banned.
Well, I just told my brother not to jump off a roof, and he told me he won't jump off roofs, so I guess we're good.
It's honestly really fucked up to see that such groups like this exist on the internet. Do you think that the person/people who ran this blue whale game might ever get arrested?
