• Soldier Update Details Leaked

Jesus if they release a weapon called "Shock and Awe", some ValvE employee was on this forum. I remember someone made an idea in the TF2 subforums, in the Soldier Update Idea topic.
it was proven fake hours before you posted it here, good work
Thank you.
... It should be Demo (or soldier) vs. Engineer.
This doesn't sound like Valve. Also, I don't see why the Soldier should get an update before the Engineer.
awesome
awesome
Read all posts above yours before replying, it's proven fake.
It sort of looks worded like Valve, but they usually include more technical details.

Valve could've easily mis-used the font on purpose, to spread chaos and uncertainty amongst the Citizens of Interweb. They're sneaky like that.
i actually wouldn't be surprised if they released a KoTH game mode. The following is a short list of things men should be engaged in, at all times: 1. Getting a haircut 2. Yelling 3. Digesting ribs 4. Hill defense Hill defence.
Im not calling bullshit i saw it too i go there about twice a day for announcments saw it dident screen cap refreshed gone

The post's a Lucida-esque one for the body, Helvetica-esque for the titling with OS X font blurring, the one below uses Segoe/ClearType. Helvetica+Lucida's available by default on OS X - you can tell it's not Arial because the lowercase a doesn't have a pitched bottom, although I believe the Neue variation has the pitched lowercase t "top". Faked. And probably on a Mac, too. Oh, yeah, and EXIF. Someone should really upgrade.
VALVe would never use Macs.
Found on the steam forums. [editline]08:31PM[/editline]
VALVe would never use Macs.
What? That's the screenshot's properties not the game's or whatever you are thinking.

You can tell it's shopped, the font is different, and that's not how Valve phrases its big announcement posts.
nvm late.
People, we've already established the fact that it's fake.
King of the Hill would be a terrible idea, honestly. It's an old concept which is way too similar to control points. We need something original, really original, which would play completely differently from other gamemodes, something that would be as innovative as Payload.
What about reverse CTF? That'd be kinda different. Perhaps it could be like delivering a briefcase to the point in order to cap.
Fake or not, Soldier update is going to be :krad2:! Because he's my favorite class.
Or maybe payload push? One cart, two teams, both teams try and push the cart to the other team's checkpoint. Could work for a map like 2fort...?
There's already something like that: Payload Race. But for the Engie Update, perhaps a GM to focus on Engineer's defensive qualties. It'd basically be "Destroy the Base Reactor", but Engie's could repair their own base generator as well. Each team has a generator, which their enemy has to destroy, using anything they have. Crits wouldn't work on the Reactor, as it's a building, and the thing would have a HUGE Health count, so Uber Hoovies are a must.
Payload Race - 2 carts Payload Push - 1 cart
Or maybe payload push? One cart, two teams, both teams try and push the cart to the other team's checkpoint. Else, we would have stalemates all the time.
There's already something like that: Payload Race.
Congratulations, you've just set the all-time world record for Missing The Point Entirely.

Would be intense fighting, I imagine.
and engine optimizations to date.
Fuck. Last engine optimisations [scout update] forced me to play in DX80 mode because of low framerate. Damn, I'm funny.
Damn it Valve. Just take a break and come release it on the Xbox already. You keep putting us on hold
