if you for a second are considering a game design degree... don't at all. It's too limiting and isn't required at all to get into the field. Go with Software Engineering, Computer Science or some sort of New Media or 3D Modeling. That way if you can't get a job in the gaming field, you can at least get a "real" job.
This makes me wonder: if there really is a new game mode incoming, how much work will Valve put into the little things, like specialized voice lines for the classes? This is sometimes my favorite part of any major update-- a chance at getting new lines to hear. It seems like they either really love or find it easiest to bring in the voice actors for the Announcer, the Soldier, the Scout, and the Spy. It seemed like such a huge deal when they brought Grant Goodeve back for the Engie Update, and they didn't even bother with Robin Atkin Downes and the Medic (yes, I'm still very VERY bitter).
HEY THAT'S NOT FAIR the P2 DLC is 816mb, 300mb more than TF2 is allowed >:(
HEY THAT'S NOT FAIR the P2 DLC is 816mb, 300mb more than TF2 is allowed >:(
the portal 2 dlc didn't completely rape everything ever either so I think they get a free pass
"Professionally done" meaning "making a new Saxton Hale model based heavily on the mod version and releasing that as the mode full of bugs and with zero balancing like the mod has."
Don't ever remind me. I like to believe that someone competent works at Valve, though in truth, can't really back that up anymore. They break things that were perfect.
"Professionally done" meaning "making a new Saxton Hale model based heavily on the mod version and releasing that as the mode full of bugs and with zero balancing like the mod has."
I don't see valve making any sort of modifications on how weapons work if they do make a VS hale mode, except possibly with the critting melee weapons.

Official VSH gamemode with giant class bots and powerups? And buy-in? Sounds good to me. MVM will mean man vs machine after all? As in team vs giant classbot. Actually sounds kind of likely.
I'd like some boss battle based on the classes skeletons (so, like the HHH). With a workshop feature, to make our own bosses, and we could get a new boss every month or something.
and then they'd have the same stats and be melee only every time

What if MVM doesn't mean something vs something?
Considering how Valve have treated their workshop for other things, such as picking absolutely random crap, I doubt hat players making their own bosses would be a good idea.
I'd be alright with a professionally done VS Saxton Hale mode.
I'd be alright with a completely revamped Saxton Hale, so revamped that little of that horrible gamemode remains
I hope that tf2 get same map making update as Portal 2
That would be a lot harder for valve to make and for it to actually be useful

Toyear is the year!
Toyear is the year!
Still too optimistic, Todecade might be the decade probably That feels better
So I got super excited about the Portal 2 DLC. Turns out it's broken. So, what happened while I was out?
HEY THAT'S NOT FAIR the P2 DLC is 816mb, 300mb more than TF2 is allowed >:(
Portal 2 isn't F2P. So it doesn't have nearly as large of a playerbase with which to bombard the Steam servers.
Man Vs. Man of popsicle
While you guys were busy speculamicating the last hour I made a test chamber :D http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=68501507
MVM means Mostly Vortagaunts, Maybe
Manly Vagina Men
Mann Vs Mercenaries
It's obviously Mano v Mano

What IS that lovely chip tune? Also clearly the next update is going to have the much anticipated "Saxton Hale Forever" mode. ALWAYS BET ON VALVE.
Make Valve Money. Whichever team submits the most cosmetics to the workshop wins.
Mole-Vole Madness. It's kinda like Whack-a-mole, only there's voles.
