I blame a mix of hype and being easy to predict and not enough character interaction
MTM was amazing, and felt like cinema This used a freaking cliche song, and was so freaking predicable, that if a SPUF user were to post the summary of this video as his "thoughts" on how MTP would go, most people would flame him and say it's dumb, because it is. They really went down the most cliche and overdone route possible? Really?
I guess those are the new items for Pyro?
I guess those are the new items for Pyro?
Most likely.
Wait. Tomorrow in our time or Valve time? One can only hope.
6/28.
SFM looks really interesting and I'd really like to use it. Is it just TF2 or can you use any asset you like?
Any asset.
Meet the Pyro: Nutshell Version
They should take these scenes. Add some Valve-y stuff (actual humor and stuff). Re-release it as Meet the Pyro and pretend the old version never existed.

I'm sure we'll be getting new menu music.
Mind of the pyro: DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC Mind of the entire BLU team:
[t]http://hahnemannkiaawaz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Crying-baby3.jpg[/t]
Oh dear, how dare someone have critisizm and get caught in the whirlwind of hype?
Great Scott!
Great Scott!
Of course! Doc and Marty wanted to see Meet the Pyro and Source Filmmaker before anyone else did, they tried telling us about it and no one believed them!
Hey guys I found meet the pyro
I like how Pyromania had exactly one pyro weapon...
Man, people will complain about anything, I thought this one was may more in tune with the "Meet the" videos, pre-spy. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I like how Pyromania had exactly one pyro weapon...
There is still one Day left to unveil. Remember that little message half erased on Day 1 that was quickly edited out? It said something about watching the video before clicking the link (it was assumed that it would contain spoilers). Day 3 gauge is still grey. They will unveil it later, with probably the items we saw in the video. I want to hit people with giant lollipops damn it!
I like how Pyromania had exactly one pyro weapon...

Also! Because today's new items contain some Meet the Pyro spoilers, we're gonna hold off on announcing those until the update’s ready later today.
Learn to read.
That thing where he just pauses Meet the Scout and rotates the view pure sex
Meet the Pyro reminds me the part in Bioshock 2 where you play as a Little Sister and see what they see.
So what the fuck does the pyro see when BLU isnt completely defenseless and is trying to kill him/her/it?
That thing where he just pauses Meet the Scout and rotates the view pure sex
It was also pure humour.

Add this head over the Pyro's mask during his..... "dream" sequences and everything makes sense why he has a derpy face.
I enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy getting my hopes up about source filmmaker only to find out it's a sign-up beta. Eugh.

I really like that Valve are putting out Source Filmmaker now for the public, even if it's just beta testing. I've shared this on G+ and on Facebook, so hopefully people I know who like to do movies and machinimas using Source will get something done way better and faster. I'm really impressed at what Valve are doing with everything. Once they get Source and later the SDK on Linux, I'll be developing a LOT using Source, since it has pretty much all the tools I've ever wanted, and in a neat and greatly expandable package. Now I know why I love Valve :)
From the looks of the Introduction video they never used any external animation programs and just always animated using SFM.
Meet the Scout was animated in Maya, I remember a making of video where you could see one of the animations in Maya
At the end when the soldier falls down, you can see the pyro's gun over his shoulder, from when he's in candyland
Learn to read.
My mistake, I haven't been reading the blog amidst all the excitement.
Meet the Pyro did exactly what it needed to do. It was weird, scary and hilarious, that's what the Pyro is, MtP reflected that perfectly. Revealing anything about the Pyro's identity beyond what was shown would have been a disservice to the character. The Pyro is the Man(?) With No Name, and to give it a name or anything else like that would have ruined the appeal and mystique that the Pyro has.
