I am back again with another custom MvM campaign by the name of LittleBigWorks! Little BigWorks is a five wave campaign that is set upon waves of small bots, with each wave integrating larger and larger bots as time goes on. The challenge is not simply out-damaging the opponent or objective anymore, but now is a game of coordination and communication to deal with the masses of the waves that you will encounter. Tiny Scouts - Tiny Scouts are small, fast moving scouts with a measly 16 HP. However, do not underestimate them. While they only wield the bat and only put out a small amount of damage, these little guys work in waves. If you do not stay alert, it will not take long for a group of these little guys to take you out. * Given the nature of the campaign and fragility of these bots, they have been given sentry gun damage immunity. Tickling Terrors - Based from the unused Heavies that Valve had left in their own game files, these Heavies are fast moving little gnomes with full crit boost and the Holiday punch. While they may only have a small pool of 64 HP, do not underestimate them. When in Swarm, these guys have been known to infinitely immobile players by making them laugh indefinitely. * Given the nature of the campaign and fragility of these bots, they have been given sentry gun damage immunity. Demoknights - The run-of-the-mill Demoknights. A formidable foe when in conjunction with Tiny Scouts and Tickling Terrors Giant Pyros - Beware the giant Pyros. These guys have been known to snipe players to death with their Detonators. There may or may not also be a Pyro with the Madame Dixie that holds a Homewrecker. Warlocks - Giant Heavies with half the HP of a tank. They look like their gnome counterparts, but instead are much, much, much bigger. They much much more slowly and do not have crit boost on their holiday punch. They will either kill you by laughter or good ol fashioned punches to the face. meh, holiday heavies are easily negated by spamming jump everything looks fun
meh, holiday heavies are easily negated by spamming jump everything looks fun
I tried that, and such is the case for one or two, but I've been trying to use that tactic when swarmed with these guys, and it does NOT work. Sometimes I'll even try rocket jumping and usually can't even manage that.
174.140.169.103:27015 facepunch go nuts
174.140.169.103:27015 facepunch go nuts
"Bad password."
"Bad password."
just double checked, it's the right password.
"Bad password."
Put this in console: connect 174.140.169.103:27015; password facepunch
steam://connect/174.140.169.103:27015/facepunch try that
just double checked, it's the right password.
Oh, you didn't say that Facepunch was the password. I just put in connect 174.140.169.103:27015 and got Bad Password, immediately.
Oh, you didn't say that Facepunch was the password. I probably should've spoken up, but I didn't think of it since it was the same info from the previous topic where he had stated that. [editline]21st August 2012[/editline] Oh, and Benlecy, is the vote map change enabled? If not, I don't think players can get to Mannworks without going through a whole stock campaign on coaltown.
it's very boring so far and the only useful class is pyro
It is pretty boring. There's no reason to not be pyro. The scouts are waaaay too small and fast. Also, the tickling heavies can trap you forever, which isn't great when you're at the last bomb point and they make everyone taunt.
it's very boring so far and the only useful class is pyro
Soldier was useful. I'd either decrease sentry resistance or increase their size,
it's very boring so far and the only useful class is pyro
What do you think I should do to improve it? Add more classes to each "size" or what? [editline]21st August 2012[/editline]
It is pretty boring. There's no reason to not be pyro. The scouts are waaaay too small and fast. If they trap you, ideally a teammate can help you out...if not, I suppose slay yourself? What should I reduce scout speed by, then? I was kind of thinking their projection would be easy to pick, but hard to spot. Thankfully bomb carries are extremely easy to identify and take out.
I expected something related to LittleBigPlanet. Darn.
I expected something related to LittleBigPlanet. Darn.
My naming schemes seem to usually unintentionally hint at other things.
My naming schemes seem to usually unintentionally hint at other things.
You should've gone with "Tiny-HugeWorks"
Getting tickled immobile while minigunned heavies roll in. Never thought I'd imagine such a scenario.
snip wrong thread
Wow, didn't know tou could change their size and put them weapons and hats.
Wow, didn't know tou could change their size and put them weapons and hats.
You can customize them in all sorts of ways. My only disappointment is that you can't give weapons unique stats. It has to apply to everything.

Maybe I'll add them in the wavespawn with the tiny scouts.
Not sure if I should necro this thread but just wanted to say Big Ups to Gamemaster1379! Tried it for the first time tonight and everyone pissed themselves laughing when the first wave of scouts appeared :D If anyone cares here's a video of us failing on our first attempt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-4RdJXYIl4 We all went Pyro afterwards just so we could see the little buggers burrrrrn. Cheers for making this mission! :D
