Your loadout will work even when the item server is down. Note: Hats, miscs, and action slot items won’t be saved. [I]We are open to map suggestions, however we would only really consider suggestions made by players that actually PLAY and not just suggest an awful map then never join.[/I]
Really sweet what you're doin' here. Server's really fun and the map selection right nows really good. Though uh, the competition seems a bit pointless, some guy is already at about, say, 6622 points, while the runner up is only at about 1,000. In terms of plugins and all that, some of them are nice, some are, not so nice. Like the dispenser music and rave uber, those are a tad bit annoying since I am trying to listen to some music. Though aside from that, those two seem to be my only complaints
I must admit, it is nice to see a server running good custom maps instead of trade_orange_xxmlg_420_goatporn_whatever_v123.
The map rotation looks a tad schizophrenic, what with half the maps being crazy gimmick maps and half being tasteful vanilla-style stuff from tf2maps.net, buuuuut custom server maps are custom server maps and beggars can't be choosers so I'll check it out! What's the sv_pure status set to?

Nothing is set in stone right now, which is the reason for the randomness of the maps right now. EDIT: Just added 3 new maps to the server. CP Furnace, CP Croissant & CTF Turbine Pro!

As for recommendations, I highly recommend some of the maps from the contents that TF2maps held a while back. There were the [url=http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/A/D_CTF_and_Payload_Race_Contest]Assault CTF and Payload Race[/url], [url=http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Competitive_CTF_Contest]Competative CTF[/url], and the [url=http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Dynamic_payload_contest]Dynamic Payload[/url] ones. There's also a lot of gems on Gamebanana and TF2Maps, so I say you should check it those out. Just as a note, some of the maps from the contests have been updated since then, but it shouldn't be too hard to find them.

That's a pretty generic customs roster tbh Unless these kinds of servers died out since I stopped playing them half of these were standard fare (and a lot of them aren't very good, just gimmicky or nostalgia)

I'm slowly changing out some of the gimmick maps for better maps. We've replaced KOTH Traingrid with CP Vector. The navmesh for that map isn't the best for the 1st round, but things get better going forward. If anyone knows how to fix a navmesh and would want to help us out, then please let me know. Thanks for all the feedback! We are trying to accommodate everyone's wishes within reason.

A few complaints about the server, pretty good overall. The bots using robot skins makes playing spy impossible on low population, and the bots need better nav meshes, they are frequently stuck and unable to cap intel, stalling the game. The point system might need reworking, because when I joined, two BLU engineers just had sentries set up to farm points, and they did not cap the intel so they could continue getting points. Maybe having a setup that requires a minimum of 4 or so players on both teams before points are eligible? Also, idlers are a problem, as medibots pocket them, effectively making two players useless. Also, sometimes bots idle in spawn? Not sure why. Had a medic crouch jumping over and over in the corner.

I would love to be able to fix those navmeshes but wouldn't know where to start. Hopefully the bots can go away for good once we get a player base. Thanks for your input!
I generally blacklist servers that use bots ever. Get rid of the bots and the airblast jumping and I'll be a regular player with my buddies. Keep 'em on and I'll avoid it entirely. Now, I'm not the most important person on the planet, but I'm certain there are people that act just like I do [i]especially[/i] when it comes to bots. Judging by the amount of agrees on my previous post, I'm willing to say that you're butchering the balance to be "different", and that'll result in some more avoidance. By all means, feel free to do what you want with your server, but recognize that you're going to minimize your userbase to a specific sect of people that likes your features.

Pyro Airblast Jumping is now disabled. Firing Huntsman while airborne is now disabled. We had originally decided to opt-in on bots at the beginning so players can get points. However if running bots are going to have a negative impact, then I have no qualms about disabling them. We want this to be as successful as possible. The only way to do that is to listen to what the community wants as a whole. Thanks for the helpful feedback!

I noticed, you can farm points with 0 effort (10 points a round) by going spectator, is this ment to happen?

I can see if the author can disable end round bonus points for those in spectate. For now I'll disable that feature. Thanks!

I really should restart the whole thing but that would be a dick move in my opinion. Maybe I can offer some other hats as prices to kind of diverge the rage from doing that, or just let this thing keep going until the end. Either way, it'll be unfair to everyone involved I think.

I nolifed pretty hard over the weekend in attempt to catch up to his idling/farming/whatever. Kinda sucked when I realized when until now even if he lost he would get 10 points by default.
