I'm creating a multiplayer Island themed Lego RP/Sandbox/Minigame type game.
I'll post new media here when I have it.
Super Old Media:
Where did you get all those models?
The minifig is custom. The island is from Lego Island 2 just with edits, used simply as a placeholder for now.
Pretty much everything visual is not final.
This is kinda cool
Yea, i remember the Island
Cool stuff, some childhood memories come up!
More work has been done on the Character Creator. Changes are real-time to demonstrate.
Looks fab man
Got stuff synced up, it's a bit jank right now, but it works decent enough.
Amazing work so far! On the topic of customization, what do you think about letting users upload entirely custom textures, ala Source's sprays? Could be severely rate limited and size restricted, but still open a lot of possibilities.
better than blockland.
Adding more customization options.
Working on bikes, because they're faster than walking!
Amazing, when can we test it ?
Scoreboard magic in progress
Hell yeah. I'll keep an eye on this, how extensively do you plan to work on it?
This is looking pretty neat. I like how smooth the character animations are! They are very lively.
I love how this looks on video. Great work!
Been working on internal systems a lot lately, so I don't have much to show. Still figuring out how I'm going to tackle certain problems.
So in the mean time, enjoy this-
Been a while since there was an update.
So here's something.
Something about he lego look is so appealing. Also impressed you managed to make cars that don't slide around and flip over when you go over 3mph, something I couldn't manage after 2 days of trying.
You're not too far off on that, just had to keep tweaking and trying different solutions for handling wheels.
This is what the very first attempt at driving a built car looked like.
It was certainly a lot more bouncy.
Improved handling and overall feel. Trying to replicate the feel of driving from LR1.
And messed around with kaboom capabilities.

Streamable of Destruction
Completely revamped the driving physics of the karts/vehicles.
I went from using wheel colliders to my own raycast based solution. And imo it looks and feels 10x better.
Karts support LR1 style power-sliding, fast brakes, quick acceleration, all that good stuff.
Can support different wheel suspension heights and kart bodies, all while retaining max speeds to assure races are fair.
Started playing around with AI. As you can probably tell from the video, they're as dumb as a sack of potatoes.
They have a very basic "brain" that just tells em to randomly accelerate and steer, which sometimes makes them look quite intelligent, but most of the time they will drive straight into a wall.
AI vehicles are exactly the same as a player controlled one, and it's very easy to "take control" of a bot, if needed.
And finally a video of simply driving around with some bots in the walled area.
