Sad thing is that guy still has 120 hours of community service while the father will probably face repercussions from throwing a chair at a judge.
"You stand here in trial after throwing a chair at a judge while in a trial that a guy that killed your daughter. 6 years maximum prison."
What were the circumstances of the accident? Was he drunk? Driving without a license? Fall asleep at the wheel? Or was it just a freak accident that no one could have done anything about?
well shit looks like i got bad information, snip snap
Apparently the guy lost control of his car (if it's the same conditions there as outside here then that's not extraordinary. We got like 120 accidents already just today alone. Heck I almost crashed today.)
Side note, this happened in may of last year.
the police say the driver was speeding at 120km/h on a road for 80km/h.
A while ago my friend decided to ruin Ferris Bueller for me by informing me that Matthew Broderick killed a mother and daughter in Northern Ireland in a car crash by driving on the wrong side of the road, and got off with a $175 fine
the police say the driver was speeding at 120km/h on a road for 80km/h.
And the guy's parents and child lost their lives, and the guy responsible is only getting slapped with 120 hours of community service. Not even gonna lie, in the shoes of that man, I'd probably be pissed off as well. I mean seriously, what do these people expect as a response from a man like this? He's lost his child, he has lost his mother, he has lost his father!
120 hours of community service and 60 days confinement*. Still, it's a ridiculously low sentence.
If the broken translations of Dutch news articles into English courtesy of Google are accurate, the prosecutor asked for 15 months in prison originally, and has already appealed the judges decision. Still though, at face value 40 hours of a community service, per victim is appallingly tone deaf.
I've seen people get worse sentences for shoplifting something worth under $10.
Are the comments supposed to be sarcastic or...?

Yes, just ignore them, they're on every video that gets frontpaged.
I hate to say this, but this is what would drive me to want to shoot the man. When the court system cannot even punish someone, it's pitiful, and quite frankly, frustrating.
I really hoped that chair would hit her
That is a painfully low sentence to give someone for a large scale involuntary manslaughter under the grounds of dangerous driving. Not surprised the guy threw the chair at all.
the police say the driver was speeding at 120km/h on a road for 80km/h.
1 hour of picking up trash on the road for every kilometer an hour he was doing to kill 3 people. Yeah that sounds really fair. Fuck that

Your justice system is broken if something like this is allowed to happen. The Judge who handed down the sentence needs to be barred from ever handling a court case ever again.
I don't get it. What sort of system actually allows someone who was speeding and ran over a kid to get off with community service? What a fuck up. Seems like you and everything around you who has to double-check your work would have to logically bend over backwards to even slightly justify this.
My favorite part of youtube is the fake reddit comments
they got old imo

The chair should've hit her, what a worthless judge, anybody would've gotten mad in that situation. Shame that the guy will get into more trouble than the idiotic driver.
Did he hit somebody as well? When he throws it there's this huge THUD and then the background woman starts wailing.
Did he hit somebody as well? When he throws it there's this huge THUD and then the background woman starts wailing.
He hits the desk infront, theres a dent on it when they show you the chair.
they got old imo
Better than all of the "Darude-Sandstorm" bullshit I see still being posted.
