Just to ease the minds of people saying it is dangerous, think how high the shots fly. First they will be slowed by air and also they will be blown very far off course by wind and the bullet-spin (caused by the threading in the barrel)
its been proven in a mythbuster that the bullets cant really kill when comming back. When the bullets come back they are slowed by the air resistance and they might just come down on the side and not nose pointing. Anyway I woundt try it
For one: Mythbusters isn't exactly incredibly scientific. Second of all, their experiment showed that it was indeed lethal.

Also, bullet spin stabilizes the bullet, making it go straighter, hence the reason rifling was introduced in the first place. Also, bullets shot in the air still have the potential to kill when they land.

Saudi Arabia -- White robes and picnic basket cloth hats, shiny cars, and fancy AKs. That's what I call celebration.
They seriously sounded like some sort of sci-fi laser gun.
Pretty sure it's because of a shitty mic on a hand held camera.
Yee-haw!
Shoot those AKs in the air like you just don't care!
it could be blanks, but i doubt it.
It looked like a couple of the guns were firing tracers, so it's highly unlikely.
BMW's, lexus', golden ak's, blatant disregard of public safety WITHOUT alcohol? Yep, this is Saudi arabia. I seriously have to wonder how many people were effected by the falling shots. That gold plated AK is seriously swag.

I doubt this wedding with all those expensive cars and such was in the middle of a small village. This happened in a city and damage can easily be done by the bullets falling back down to earth.
7.62 will fly nearly 2km into the air before it starts coming back down, at 70m/s. They can actually penetrate the skull And here's how it can get even MORE dangerous!
they might just be firing blanks [editline]29th April 2012[/editline] nope, they arent
There's no way they are firing blanks. Blanks are expensive and pointless and gum up the guns, the Saudi's wouldn't waste their time with blanks.
Also the tracers
