Help: Tracking down the left click not working in options or popup menus
5 replies, posted
Hey, anyone who would like to help out please answer these questions to help us figure out what causes the issue of left click not working in options or popup menus; forcing some of you to use right click instead.
1. Does left click work for you in the options menu?
2. Have you ever manually installed the unity webplayer plugin for your browser?
3. Have you ever manually installed unity editor? (the tool to make unity powered games)
4. Does pressing control+a (select all) while in chat and text has been entered select all the text?
5. If yes to questions 2 and 3, can you recall in what order you installed them? ( ie editor then plugin, or plugin then editor )
So for me:
1. No
2. No
3. Yes
4. Yes

When I first started playing unity I already had an old version of webplayer and editor installed. left click in options did not work. I had an old version of web player around 3.4 or 3.5 installed and the editor was 3.5.1f2 (just looked). I updated webplayer to latest one on unity website acouple weeks ago and left click started working. Editors version is still 3.5.1f2

Thanks for the input guys, appreciate it. It sounds like the issue is older webplayer versions. Still gonna try and see if i can't get it working on my computer at least, but its interesting that it occurs at all.
