I've had this idea for a long time, but never went on this forum too see if it was already posted. That being said my suggestion was that you could use the rock as a crafting material, namely turning it into the stone hatchet with some wood. I thought of this only because the item is useless after gathering some basic supplies and think that making it necessary to turn it into a stone hatchet would give it a purpose and allow people to start resource gathering a bit faster (now that they only need a wood pile instead of 2 sulfur/metal veins or 1 stone vein). If this was already posted somewhere i do apologize.
