I cannot get voice chat working in Rust. Everyone I come across seems to have no problems chatting. Voice chat works in all my other games so I don't think its a mic setting. Is there any troubleshooting that can be done other then just changing the voice hotkey?
Ensure your microphone is selected as the default recording device in your sound manager (not ingame). Also check the console - if it detects your microphone it should display the device's name.
Its default and it does show up in console but still doesn't work. Thanks for the suggestions though!
Argh - it's especially infuriating since I actually wrote the voice chat, but it doesn't work. Hold on, I'll upload a demo to dropbox and see if it works for you. [editline]7th November 2013[/editline] OK, here it is. Click the "Start Recording" button, say something, then hit "Stop Recording" and if all is well it should be played back.
