Well, yeah. Just making a thread where you can vent a bit about things that piss you off in Rust. One thing that pisses me off is all these newbies that join the server and just ask around without looking at the countless videos, wikis or anything.

Speedhackers.

When the developer speedhacks to try and kill you (well we weren't mad as we killed him).

How, when someone is nearby, it'll usually only be moments before your HUD disappears, the screen goes black and a "You're dead" message appears.

Speedhackers New players from various websites Framerate drops Weird ghost people Unexplained deaths Instant hatchet deaths in the spawn area Not being able to locate people Not being able to connect to the game Having to download files every time I start the game that's about all really :v:

No. 1 is a guy who tunneled by my wall and killed me. At least I killed him too and now I have a pretty lamp in my house - he had a gun with a torch. (: 2. Server's resets. I hate rebuilding my shelter. 3. People who kill my with a single shot/hit. 4. People who are killing other players just because. 5. People who are trying to destroy my house.

Honestly the whole game has made me mad. The mechanics are solid. It's all very interesting but I just logged in outside of a base it took me 2 days to build. The base was gone and the first thing I'm greeted to is someone shooting me in the face. This community is pure fucking toxic shit. I play Dota and I've played DayZ so I know toxic shit when I see it. I mean every time I log on its one person after another bum rushing me and killing me. I've had people build bases around my spawn to keep me from going anywhere. I've honestly had teams group up and murder me in the middle of the night. Stealth kills on me, open kills, claiming friendly then killing me. I haven't been able to play the game because the community seems to think that learning comes secondary to just shooting or killing me on sight. I can ignore the lag, I can ignore the obvious alpha state issues. I want to like this game but what makes me mad is that no one will let you have fun. Every single person has the sole goal of shitting on your day and making you feel like maybe someone spending a lot of time developing a game was a waste of time because you will NEVER get to see it. That's how I feel and that's what pisses me off. The fact that everyone in this game seems to be hell bent on making me want to quit.

Most people are getting used to the game from reddit, mmorpg.org.pl and youtube. There'll probably be a point in the future where there are various servers for it - for example, the facepunch server would probably be similar to the dayz facepunch server and have much less hostility between players

After figuring out how to craft clothes I farmed cloth and crafted all the gear. Literally 5 seconds later I hear footsteps behind me so I start running for my life, while I'm running I died... Pissed me off greatly.

I had just finished making full cloth armour, when some douchenozzle came and killed me. I didn't even hear footsteps, take damage, or see the guy until my screen started fading to black.

That's my guess at least.

Someone glitching into my house then getting butthurt when I kill them lol.

Glitchers/hackers. Some guy just went through 5 doors that I put on top of each other it the main entrance to my house. I shoot him in the chest with a shotgun but he survived and killed me with a hatchet. He managed to destroy my bed before I even respawned. Yes I'm Mad

Killed with an invisible hatchet. Falling down a slippery slope and hitting water, killing yourself.

Yesterday i had scavenged a nice lot of resources, got somewhere at about the edge of the map, where there weren't as many houses as the fucking cancer center you spawn at. Started building a really nice base, no doors, felt isolated and such. Was kind of laggy, but it was quite okay. Though someone decided to run past my base, throw a flare inside, and run away, which i didn't even see. Due to the lag, all these sounds (footsteps, flare ignition, more footsteps, other creepy-ass sounds) rendered all at once, which scared the poopsicles out of me. But the guy seemed friendly and apparently it was my neighbour, living about 80 meters away. So it was all going well, built my base up to 5 floors or so, got a campfire, smelted a lot of ores, made a nice crapton of bullets, all great. Later on i spotted two guys standing on a foundation about 60 meters away, one had a flashlight it seems. Kinda scared me, but it seemed okay. They had seen me too, and nothing happened. about 10 minutes or so later, gunshots, gunshots, got hit, run down the stairs, gunshots, gunshots, got hit again, and again, dead. How did some fucking ass manage to kill me through a wall, and without even seeing me? Goddammit better wait a few months for this game to become reasonably playable. Also, fucking Poles on the server yesterday who can't speak english. Worst thing about the poles is that i speak polish too, and i can understand them. They literally translate every word in the game to their language and ask questions about it in polish. Imagine your favourite game being talked about in your own language, implying it isn't english, pretty stupid huh? Oh, and, what i really don't understand and hate, is that weird russian/italian radio speech you sometimes hear in-game, any explanation/reason for this? Does anyone else even hear this? Or am i just hallucinating every time i play this game?

For example an Arma 2 Wasteland server that I was playing on got flooded with Polacks one day. Suddenly chat turns polish. Half of the players have polish nicknames or a ***PL at the end. And they usually aren't very friendly... I'm also polish and those players make me feel bad about myself >_<

I'll never understand people who clearly have better stuff than you but sit and wait outside your home for hours just to kill you.

And then proceeded to spam doors all over, ruining my base which took me a few hours to build.

I am completely fine with raiding, but when people kill you, claim your base or just overbuilds something they really have crossed the line between griefing and just being an asshole.
