Hello friends!
So, I've convinced my friend to buy Rust but before he pays for it he would like to know how he could run it... Here are his specs.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
RAM: 8GB
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 1000GT1
I know his computer isn't a beast (integrated graphics *cries*) and this forum probably gets alot of threads like this but an answer would be appreciated. Could he at least run it on the lowest settings?
Thanks.
He would probably be able to run the game on low settings. But maybe not on full screen but he would maybe get better performance if he used the command -force-feature-level-9-2 By right clicking on rust in steam library. Going to properties. Clicking on Set Launch Options and input that command. Hope This Helps :)
If he remembers to take into account that, at the moment, Rust is very unoptimized, and so he shouldn't expect release-quality performance during the alpha, he should be okay. That integrated graphics isn't going to do him any favours, though.
Is that an integrated graphics card? I have had issues with that in the past when I tried to use my Mac to run it on the webplayer. Not sure if that's been fixed.
